I don't think they're china clays, they feel more plastic I think but Paulson ain't gonna sell to TX clubs and many rooms tend to not approach chip quality like those on this forum would.

They'll spend over half a million dollars for their custom livestream though....
Well, doesn't the china clays feel very plastic-y?

And yeah, unfortunately very few casinos(/card rooms) see the value of their chips as something that represents their casino so it's not exactly uncommon.
I wonder how they ended up there. At some point you had several really awesome designs but I guess its value wasn't tangible enough for the excel ninjas to spend resources on. Topic for another thread I guess.

I'm significantly less knowledgeable on chipping compared with others here. My recollection of China Clays is from the old WSOP replica group buy we did a gazillion years ago and those felt more "clay" than the chips I've encountered here in Texas

@Rakrul those Georgetown chips are from chiplab.com, I believe they are slugged Chinese plastic on a proprietary mold. Lodge’s chips look like your regular run-of-the-mill Chinese plastic (Matsui knock-offs) with a custom label.

Makes sense, thanks!
This chips are pretty common. They suck. Very slippery. Hard to stack them high. A few different games in my area use these chips.

oof that JJJ fold pal

I don't think in the grand scheme of things it's a bad fold. That board is stupid wet with flush and straight draws to fade. I have middle set and I block myself from filling up by having an 8 in my hand.

Given there's a bet, I raise and get RERAISED and then the original bettor shoves, I could be up against top set in one of my opponents hands. If that's the case I'm drawing pretty dead.

Even if it's in the short-stacks hand and thus maybe I can make up the difference in the side pot, if the guy who's been running like god all night has a combo draw, the shorty if he has pocket Kings is further blocking me from getting there and it would actually put the player with the combo draw ahead.
