Huh, no chatter on this one.

All I'll say is... if all chips were mint and available in quantity for 75 cents each, which would you rather have for $1500 - 2000 mint PCAs or 2000 mint Foxwoods?

Foxwoods by a country mile. I don't get all the love for the PCAs. Never have really. I did come around to liking them a lot more than I did out of the gate, but they've never crossed the threshold between "solid players' set" to "epic all time best" in my mind.

The Foxwoods chips might not be "epic all time best" but they are a sight closer than the PCAs. Those upper denoms are incredible.

PCA secondary fiver is one of my favorite chips, however that Foxwood's lineup is awesome top to bottom (plus those dollars are awesome)

I think this is one where I'm taking Foxwoods cash set, PCA tourney...but since this game is the entire lineup...Foxwoods.

Easy call for me....PCA, the best set ever offer by Jim.
Low prices, mint chips, shaped inlays, best $5 ever, pri & sec mixed $500, custom DB's & plaques, ... the $1's are the only flaw (ok, and lack of 1K chips)
Only a few sets I rate higer...but these were never even close to the original PCA price.

Imagine, 270K chips were made...dunno how many Jim got (but a huuuuuuuuge load), stil every nice set is insta-sold and prices had doubled/tripled before the current price increases. A big group of fans got rewarded for keeping there sets after new ones had hit CR...now I don't know any other sets that offered the same value as the PCA did.

Shaped inlays don't impress me, unless there's a reason for them to be shaped. PCAs look like a kid just selected "one of everything" when deciding what the label should look like.

I suspect a big turnout for the PCAs because they floated about in excellent shape (I guess nobody really wanted to play on them), but this isn't a "vote for the chips I own" contest, as I already voted against my Bellagios in the other bracket. Picking the best chip, it's gotta be Foxwoods.

PCAs. I am a big fan of the $5s but also like the how much the $25s pop as well.

Foxwoods' inlay shading is strong, much stronger than the shaped inlays of the PCAs. The $1 Foxwoods is a beaut. The PCA 500 and 25 are too damn bright for the rest of the set, and the Foxwoods are balanced across the board. The PCA plaques bug me, since I tend to associated plaques with European casinos. When you then factor in the variety of edgespots + the depth of denominations, the Foxwoods are the clear choice.

The PCA 1 $ is pretty boring in my opinion. The rest of the line up is nice, but I picked Foxwoods for that reason alone

The plaques are aftermarket and therefore should not be considered as part of the set for voting purposes.

Do the Foxwoods chips have the same inlay on both sides as shown and which one has that horrid WPT logo - and is it still in play?

Or.... the chips police is going to arrest me ?
Lighten up...it's just a hobby, not science :)

Ps. foxwoods are awsome too (yes, I'm biased)

I voted for Foxwoods, but I will say that the PCAs cannot possibly be appreciated in pictures. In person they are one of my 19 favorite all time individual chips - in stacks live they look incredible. I can appreciate the criticism of the $25 via pictures, I just wish there was a way for people to see 'em live.

The PCA denoms that might actually make it in play in a cash game for me ($100 and under) slay the Foxwoods, with the possible exception of the $1. The shaped inlays on the PCAs are awesome, the colors are striking, and a rack of any denomination would easily fit in a mixed casino Paulson set. That said the Foxwoods $500 and up chips are gorgeous.

If the PCAs don't win this round it would be a crime.

As much as I'm a huge PCA fan, I voted for the Foxwoods. I'm a sucker for a pretty 5K chip.

I'm stunned Dave. I figured you would vote the PCA hands down. The meh Fox inlay and uninspired house mold more than make up for the RHC PCA $1. Shaped inlays and those PCA 500s are just too good. If the Fox were a SCV or LCV set I'd change my vote.

This is a dead heat right to my surprise.

PCA for me!

The colors are great, the 5$, 25$, 100$ and 500$ are all some of my favorite chips. Shaped, bright nice looking inlays and great colors. The only weakspot is the 1$, but the set is still nicer than the Foxwoods.
While I do like the 25$, 500$ and 5000$ chips, the weak hundo, the house mold and not the nicest inlay make it an easy choice.

I can't understand all that love for Foxwoods. The inlay is horrible, the mold is a total fail, spots and colors are quite ordinary. Ok, the 500 and 5k are great, but MGM LV are way better imo.
Not saying PCA are the best ever, far from it, but foxwoods, seriously?

Thanks for this idea @jbutler, It's really a lotta fun seeing how all of us have a different taste and feel for those little chippeys :D

PCA's classic clean inlay, shaped inlays, red denoms all plus. Mixed molds don't bother me that bad.

Foxwoods, house mold isn't that bad. Inlay doesn't work for me really, the giant denoms (while my old man eyes appreciate them) overwhelm the whole thing. Could have done better without the monochrome all black fonts. Granted the 5K is sweet.

PCA +

I can't understand all that love for Foxwoods.

I think that if you saw a spread of Foxwoods laid out like the pic below (which also showcases a bunch of chips that aren't real PCAs), it would become a little clearer. The fact that the Foxwoods are leading ~without~ a reasonable and fair pictorial comparison says a lot about their strength.....

I have to say, I like the colors better on the PCA's, I don't care for the $1 but the rest are very nice..
