Nothing too exciting, just a simple little boredom killing project:
I've had this 8-chamber block style chip holder sitting around for a decade or so. It's a little rough around the edges but it isn't broken so I couldn't bring myself to throw it out. I figured I would someday make or buy a 4 or 5 player set up for it. Someday finally came.
It holds 176 chips and I went with 48 quarters, 48 $1s, and 80 $5s. The chips are the old "Sprint" mold China clays and I got these off a site offering them as clearance items.
You may recall this chip line used to have a vibrant yellow chip with blue and hot pink edge spots. That would have been ideal, but the site only had the dull later production version.
I wanted a simple label on white quarters, blue $1s and yellow $5s so to help differentiate the white and yellow chips I colored the 25¢ font red and added a tinge of the base chip color to the outer edge of the label. I wouldn't play them in low light...or while wearing sunglasses!
At the very least they'll sit pretty on a shelf.
Big thanks to Gear for printing the labels - and for treating this small order with the same level of care, communication, and attention to detail as he did my previous larger order.
