Howdy everyone -- I was a lurker/super infrequent poster over at ChipTalk, but it seems like the action's moved over here so here I am.
I made the switch to nice chips a few years ago, and have been sort of adding to my addiction since then. That's how it usually goes though, right? I started with a playable set of World TH&C that I bought a barrel at a time (you know, back when they weren't crazy expensive like they seem to be now...). Now I just pull out that set for tourneys.
Not long after that I got the itch for used casino chips, so I started building an Indiana Aztar set (I live in Indiana) and a Par-a-Dice set (my wife's from Illinois) and that was good fun. I spent the better part of a year or so playing with my group with a mixed set based on those two casinos.
Last casino set I picked up was a decent sized Kenmore Lanes set, and those have been a fun change of pace.
My most recent project is going to be playing with a relabel project using some really fun roulette chip colors I picked up on eBay. Taking that one slow, but I have some fun thoughts on them that I'm looking forward to working through.
That's enough about me. I know that I owe some chip photos -- I'll get some threads up soon with those.
Thanks for the forum, I look forward to speaking up more often here and there.
