Just trying to gain some idea of the amount of interest from each country. Deadline to put order in with MSK will be Jan 11/12th so dont delay. PM me if you have any further questions

whether it may be a sample set or full set etc

Your IP flag pin will let me know what country your from unless using a VPN then state otherwise

rough amount you would like, change your mind on the total number whenever of course.

Looking to possibly around late winter/early spring on these from Korea. Depending on box shipping size it may be cheaper to have a bunch of members sets come in one box to each country and distribute from there?

let see what happens at least

I am in for more than likely 30-40 range-ish

linky so no stinky:

I need to figure out some breakdown stuff, but in for at least 60. Possibly double that.

Ready to order samples now.

Hey ChipEnvy, just be mindful that once you go over 100 plaques, the set up fee increases from $30 to more than double that for most plaque sizes. On the other hand, would love to see 120 plaques splashed about :-).

Yeah. Can't quite understand that. Order 100 plaques add $30. Order 101 add $60.

Ofcourse if you are ordering over 200 it will work out cheaper as I think the next jump is 500+

Edit. Should add that the handling fee is applied for each design. Not total order size.

But the price per plaque (without the setup fee) goes down at the same intervals. So while the total cost per plaque might be a bit more expensive if you want 101 vs. 100, it's not by much.

The total price at the 100/101 interval goes up with the extra plaque, but less than the price per plaque between the 99/100 interval (or and interval below 100). The Koreans aren't pulling one over on us - they're just pointing out serious flaws in the US educational system.

...and apparently the Aussie system too.

Heeeyyyy, grade 4 was the best 5 years of my life :-). Haha. Did not pause to work that out as I had no intention of ever going over 100 :-).

Sorry did I say it was a huge jump in the overall costs per plaque? My point was the setup costs double after 100, I can't quite understand why the setup costs really need to change like that. Added cost per chip for 100 is $.30 For 101 $.59 Gradually lessening as you order more.

IMO it would be wiser from a business stand point to actually have higher setup costs for lower orders to discourage orders under say 50 plaques. And above that have a flat rate setup price per chip of $.30+/-

The setup cost increase is offset by the the price break you get for ordering 101 vs 100. That's the only way to make the price curve drop off consistently. The other way to structure it would be to have a fixed setup fee but charge full price for the first 100 plaques, a discounted price for the next 400, and an even lower price for the next 500. Business sense aside, it's a really friendly structure for home plaques.

Please tell us more when possible, I have an order pending soon

I just told her I would get back to her in the coming weeks with updated numbers and then we can start doing the math with shipping.
Since you are in Europe, not sure I will be personally dealing with that sorry. I am looking to take on most or all the NA orders and distributing etc
I am also trying to set up a permanent distributor deal with MSK in N.A in the future if the plaques are great (which they seem to be in looks and reviews so far!)

Ill have to bone up on wholesale/distributor dealings in the next few months. Plaques and jetons appear to be an untapped market this side of the ocean.

No worries, guess I was thinking in another direction (discount for all member).
I think they should start an account here and become sponsor...guess they will get a lot of orders and they can improve their products with the info received from so many experienced members.

Based on the communication I had (excellent), they are not the typical chinese manufacturer.

It is safe to say that a South Korean company is not like a Chinese manufacturer at all. Most notably, not in China.

I was not aware that it was South Korea, thanks !
Still think they could benefit being present here (and so could we)

This opens options because a good friend (and fellow chipper) is doing a strech in SK (US Airforce) and comes to his family (Holland) on frequent basis.
This could save me $70-100 in shipping :)

You and me both..? :D :D ;)

Europeans need their own thread?

What's being ordered, exactly? Is it the Blades plaques, or custom plaques of one's liking?

I'm confused here - and admittedly haven't been following this too closely. Is this a group buy for one design or are you asking how many we are interested in with our own artwork?

Just seeing what the rough estimate is for people who want to order their own customized MSK plaques to potentially save on shipping and group mass buying savings.
I am willing to help reship/distribute in Canada and potentially also into the US sometime in Feb/march

Thanks, that's exactly what I was trying to figure out. Makes for good rebuy/seating plaques :)
