Hey Chippers!! Got a set here of Paulson Chips that I've used maybe once or twice. Brought these back in 03-04 & wondered if they're worth anything? Here's a pic of the chips. Any comments are appreciated!!

P.S.
I have maybe 800-1000 of the $1 300-500 of the $5 300-500 of the $25 and about 300 of the $100

Oh boy...this is going to be fun.

These are sweet chips. They are worth a decent amount of money, especially in today's market. Just my opinion, of course, but if you are planning on selling I have no doubts that you'll be able to find a buyer...quickly.

Sounds like a roughly 2000pc set. In today's market, on the lowest of the low end - assuming excellent/near mint condition or better, $4000 as a single lot. On the high end...

...well that's anyone's guess.

If you are looking for cash now (or soon) and aren't emotionally attached to them I would sell. It's a seller's market for sure.

Should I hold on to these then?

I can't tell you what to do and I don't know what your interests are. I can tell you that there probably won't be a better time to sell than the general "now". If it were me, I'd peel off whatever chips were useful to me, and then a few more to leave room for expansion in your game, and then sell the rest. For my purposes I'd keep 900 of those and sell the others (and seek two racks of starbursts to use as generic fracs with them), but that's just me.

So was this a fantasy line that Paulson produced for a while back, or whats the story?

I don't know! I brought these from an online poker site. Thank good they were a legit site cause i paid a pretty penny for these!! So I honestly don't know any history behind these except they are authentic Paulson's

These are not even oiled. Should I Oil them? If so, What's THE BEST oil for theses chips. I mean, they're only Paulsons. The best Chips in the world!!!

I can't remember what they went for. It was under a dollar each. I was disappointed at the time but I got a great deal on them. I even held a contest guessing how many chips were being shipped and gave the winner a rack of $25's.

I sold them because there was no quarter. I was dumb and didn't want a substitute that wasn't authentic to the set and my game doesn't play close to that high. Using the $25's as quarters didn't sit right with me either, so I wanted to get them to someone who'd use them and not just look at them.

They are a fantasy set. More
Like a tribute set to a Vegas casino that closed long ago by the same name. The casino chips were also made by Paulson, but they had drastically different colors.
