Well, that’s unfortunate. I’m not exactly sure what caused the issue, but the last resort was to roll back to the most recent good backup from 11 hours ago. My apologies. This is actually the first time in over 12 years that I’ve had to restore from a backup.

I'm very disappointed right now, but that gave me a good laugh.

I figured out the issue. When migrating from a cPanel server, the file and folder ownership, groups, and permissions need to be updated. Most of these were already handled by a script I wrote and tested for the move. I’m going to run a few more tests for peace of mind, but I’ll give it another go just after midnight.

Did you recently migrate from a cPanel server? It could be that the file and folder ownership, groups, and permissions need to be updated. You could probably write a script to handle it, but you'd want to run some tests after midnight, for peace of mind.

Nevermind.

Perfect timing to troll some flash sales, like my PCA & grail BCC sets ;)

The migration is underway. The initial file copy takes about 1.5 hours , and I’ll keep the forum open during that stage. Once that’s done, I’ll close the forum for a shorter second pass, about 5-10 minutes to copy only new or changed files. After that, I’ll dump and transfer the database, import it, update file permissions and DNS, and then bring the forum back online.

Does the forum sing "Daisy" when you shut it down?

The site search will be unavailable for next 35-45 mins while the index is rebuilding,

search is back.
