I have kind of a goofy chip project I'm working on for one of the micro stakes cash game I host. I'm looking for stacks of 20 starbursts in varying colors, anything except white or red, in excellent to good condition. For now I would also prefer clean starburst hot stamps (i.e. no overstamped /cancelled stamps or inlays).

I'm also looking for stacks of 20 white Paulson casino $1s in very good to good condition - no bicycle tires :) My preference is for $1s with a white base color and small / minimal spots and regular inlays, but if you have something that doesn't exactly match this shoot me a PM with some details or pics of the chips.

I'd consider slightly larger chip quantities (like if you have 40 or 50 of something you were looking to get rid of), again shoot me a PM with what you've got and the price and we can go from there. Thanks!

Lil' bump, already made some good progress on the $1s, need more starbursts. Here's what I've got so far:

Starbursts:
  • Dark purple (mauve or grape)
  • Canary yellow
  • Blaze orange
  • Pink
  • Green

Casino $1s:
  • St. Croix
  • Freddy's Club
  • Revel AC
  • Showboat AC
  • Golden Nugget AC
  • Monte Carlo Vegas


I have an extra barrel of Freddies and a few of the yellow starbursts if anyone wants to trade!

Thanks but no, I was able to get a barrel of yellow (unless they're arc yellow then yes I'd be interested!)

Just to clarify, the pic/list in post #2 are the chips I've already bought/traded barrels for - I'm looking for other colors (the brighter/more colorful the better for the starbursts).
 
I've got a rack of blaze orange starbursts that I don't reallllly need at the moment...

Made a little more progress, still need barrels of both starbursts and $1s.

For starbursts, I'm ideally looking for blue (dark & light), light green, light purple, arc yellow, butterscotch, almond, etc.

Here's what I've got so far:

Starbursts:
  • Dark purple (mauve or grape)

Casino $1s:
  • St. Croix
  • Freddy's Club
  • Revel AC

I'm gonna bump this up for discussion, because I'm piecing together a similar mixed mixed set of white $1s all on THC mold. There are 4-5 different $1 chips that I absolutely LOVE Grand Casino, Isle of Capri, Casino Magic, Paradise Island, Lucayan Beach etc, but I'm afraid I'll never be able to find in playable quantities, so I think I'm gonna do a mixed set of them all. Considering relabeling them at some point for more cohesiveness, but we'll see.

My thought/question is that as long as white is the dominant color and the edge spots are relatively small, they should play fine in a cash game, yeah?

Also if anyone has straggler white THC $1s <10pc I'll take em.

That was my thought as well in building this set. If you can wait a little longer, I should have some pictures ready in a week or two. I've got 14 barrels of casino $1s, most of which are white with small spots.

I haven't completely finished the set yet (almost done with the starbursts, I have a trade setup for my last 2 barrels) and haven't introduced the set to the group yet, but in messing around with what I had gathered about a month ago (see pics above), the set looked fine in a splashed pot and "dirty" stacks of mixed casinos $1s.

I always get these abbreviations messed up - does THC = RHC? (the ones with the larger inlay area?) If so I do have some leftovers from building this set, ranging from 5 to 50 chips. Freddies, NYNY, and Argosys IIRC.

I know this wouldn't fly some of the more OCD chippers, but I think as long as (1) the spots are small and (2) the whites are all the same color/shade, that this idea worked out to be pretty cool. I have a couple of stacks that I picked up that I'll probably not use - the larger spots on the PCA primaries overpower the white on the chip, and the even stevens are a different shade of white.

And with regards to the starbursts, just about there:

Honestly, this lot looks amazing in spite of my OCD. In fact, you've inspired me to build a collection like this. Very nice indeed!

I defended you in the other thread as I felt you were doing nothing wrong. I am sure you posted the above with the best intentions and there are some others here who do the same thing... I simply disagree with the practice.
