My previous attempts at designing a plaque for this set haven't gone well. The basic idea was a mostly grey/black plaque with a carbon fibre looking background. The lions rampant minus the shield and text would be shown above it also in the background. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any artwork of the logo without the shield and I didn't feel confident enough to blend a different standing lion illustration with this one. Making a decent looking carbon fibre texture/background in GIMP seems pretty hard too.
So I went in a different direction, rather than basing the design of the plaque around the logo, design the plaque around the color chip it's meant to replace.
This is just an idea for now. I don't know how well the colors match to the $25. I would have liked to make the pink sky look more ethereal and actually like night (or a sunset/moonrise) and smaller starbursts around the logo with less light bleed.
I know I would have to make it shorter lengthwise to fit it on a plaque as well. It also seems a bit empty. Would you add text around the denomination?
