I Thought I would take a few pics of my new California Card a Room chips. It was a club located in San Jose which opened and closed in 1972. I think these are Christy and Jones made due to the shiny H&C.

The chips appear to be almost mint condition. I did clean and oil them all except the quarters which I was just to burned out to finish :) Most were just dusty but some seemed to have rack marks.

The hot stamps don't show up great in the pics but are in really great shape.

I also would love a history of how these got safely into you hands.

DrStrange

I just happen to be in the right place when Spinettis got a few thousand of these chips in. I think another member and myself grabbed a decent size set. They may have some Fracs left. I cleaned out most of the $5's and all the remaining $20's.

Hopefully more luck than my Vineyards set, I've been killed both times I put them into play. I wish someone here would volunteer to take them off my hands

Anyone have 10 $1s of The Post they would be willing to part with? Would like to fill out my rack.

Thanks!

You can buy them from spinettis at the link above for $1 each plus shipping.

Sorry, I thought they might last a couple hours.

Still 50cent chips as of now

Great set. Again, congratulations ! I really like those. Great colors. I personally use the $5 in my mixed casino set which is now complete. I'll now clean them and oil them before posting a pr0n.
There are few lefts at Spinettis. See link above.

Was Christy & Jones and Paulson competing on the market at the same time ?
Or has Paulson bought C&J and then the Hat & Cane mold at the same time ?

Came again across this pr0n and still find those chips so great.
One of my favourite hotstamp set !

I have a rack of the 50 cent chips. They are nice, but are the lighter, harder Christy Jones chips.

Ahh, another in the long line of chips that have come and gone from my house ...
