Continental United States - The 49 states, including Alaska and the District of Columbia, excluding Hawaii, on the North American continent.
When a delivery is referred to as CONUS, that means its point of origin and destination are within the continental United States. Includes APO (Army/Airforce Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) which are for overseas armed forces postings.
This is a term coined by a member (Indiana Native @FDLmold), with an inference to Rat Rod hotrods, where gear heads would use what they had to build a Hot Rod. In the same passion we have members that build chip sets using what they have or can find. Often time going out of their way (and budget) to build playable sets with an assortment of chips from various entities and sometimes molds.
Chip manufactures often use additional materials in the production process for chips, the reflective surfaces often show up on the sides of the chip. Typically lead or brass.
