100 freshly liberated $1 Paris chips. They are pretty had to get in quantity and it took two of us 3 days to get 120. 20 went to @inca911 and the rest are up for grabs.

All are clean, see pics for condition (I would say excellent)

$275 +8 shipping US only F&F

You can buy them at the cage five at a time if you tell them it's a souvenir. We did that several times and Harvested of the rest playing blackjack. I don't play craps because I don't understand it LOL

Hard to get might be a bad description, probably should say time-consuming to get.

A poker tournament at Paris? Hmmm...

You never know -- things change. This is the first time I've heard of them selling five at the cages as souvenirs -- they definitely didn't do that ~five years ago, when I harvested mine..

Are you guys saying that if someone walks to the cage and asks for a rack of $1s, and not just at Bally's, but other casinos as well, they won't sell it?

I have personally experienced this multiple times at Paris and others. They won't sell you more than 5.

I even had a hard time buying a rack at the Aria the last time I was there. They had to call 3 different people like it was some conspiracy.

I'm curious as well. I've been to a couple of casinos in the past week weeks for harvesting and have had 2 pretty different experiences:

At Prairie Meadows in Iowa the cashier did not have any chips to dispense. You needed to go to a table and trade cash in for chips. They took the chips from the small tray on the table. There were probably less than 50 of each denomination in the tray. There may have been more underneath but I do not know. The dealer had to call someone over and called out "cashing" or something and I had to lay my money on the table and they spread the chips out individually. I picked up like 20 chips. They were garbage, I kept 2 or 3 just for kicks and had to go then to the cashier window for change back.

At Jummers there was an official cashier window that sold and cashed back in the chips. Again the amounts to dispense looked really small. The lady pulled out a little drawer - like in a bank and handed me the chips I asked for. It did not look like she had hundreds or racks to be dispensing.

Sorry for the hijack but this is fascinating.

But you can go to poker room at Bally's and ask for a rack of $1's and say you will pay someone an extra $40 for "very nice chips" of they sort em and say you will be back in 40 min, and come back with a nice rack.......BTW the cage wouldn't sell them to me, but told me the poker room would

They used too .. maybe not cash games, but I know they had a few tables for tournaments. played my 1st ever casino tournament there back in '07ish.

congrats on the pick up.

My first casino poker tournament was at Paris as well. They only had two tables and they sat us 13 at a table. I had to lean in to look st my cards and then back out so others could look at thier cards. Not the best first experience, but I didn't know at the time so I thought it was normal. Was probably about 10-12 years ago.

It varies, but it's easiest at casinos with card games, especially poker rooms. In Vegas, I've only had trouble at Paris and a few of the small places downtown (e.g., Golden Gate).

At places that dispense racks of chips from the cashier windows, a twenty usually works well to get you new[er] racks. A $40 tip is only for the high rollers among us.

I tried giving the cashier at Bellagio a $100 tip ($300 for two racks of new $1 chips)

No dice (or chips).
