In the spirit of the holidays, I ask one of you to save me from myself and buy these. I have the high bid in - you'll pay a bit more than a buck/chip to win. Auction ends Christmas afternoon.

A hot stamped dark green $0.50 chip from the Desser House. I know someone here would like these. {besides me}

Go get 'em! -=- DrStrange

Saw them but still waiting to find the chips I need for a frac that will work with the Trops. Pink or Yellow!!!

I've bought the last two racks of these to come up, was surprised that no one here wanted them, made me wonder if everyone knew something that I didn't. They are dusty new and razor sharp mostly, but definitely a little warped. I feel stupid not thinking about the possibility that hot stamps from the seventies would possibly be warped, but oh well, newbie mistake I'll be prepared for next time.

I think the last two auctions ended at around $130 if I remember right.

Great chips overall though, love that they are hot stamps and love that they are from sort of a kooky place like Salton. I've used some of them with my point defiance chips and everybody loved them.

Question - what do you guys use for the $25 chip for this rack or do you go with a $10 or $20 chip?

Personally, with a green fractional chip in play I'd use a $20 chip (yellow for a vegas set, or black if cali colors). Could also get by with a purple $25 if using cali colors.

Do you know of any black or purple hotstamps for $20's?

Hmmm....... seems like I've seen more than one $20 hot-stamped black chip, but I can't pull any casino names out of my new-year-fuzzy head right now.....

There is also bound to be a few Cali casino tournament sets with a purple $25 hot-stamp, but can't say I've ever seen one. Might try looking through the California casinos and card rooms on ChipGuide.com.

Here's one, from the Adobe Inn card room:
