In a few weeks, my wife and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary (along with my 40th birthday) in Jamaica, As a gift, she worked with @alecnetwoodworks to create an absolutely beautiful custom wooden chip box. Capacity is 1000pc 43mm chips. Wood used is wenge and walnut. Hardware is silver with a push button lock and metal feet.

Very nice, and grats. My 40th was a card setup so equally awesome but yours is also awesome.

I had seen some pics of this before, but the one you took of the top from the front looks remarkably three dimensional. As in, the grain looks like it going to feel extremely rough when you run your hand over it. But then in the second pic taken from the side it looks smooth again. It's an incredible piece of wood and certainly one of Alec's best yet.

And are those coasters in the last pic? I hadn't seen those yet. Boy's been holdin out on me it seems!!!

Yeah I've got batch of those coasters that I did awhile back as a proof of concept. never got around to packaging them up to sell. I'll send you some if you want a set.
