Wanted 1000 Chip Set - Double Downs (1 Viewer)

Love these chips and willing to pay premium, but need mixed denominations. $5, $25, $100 (or any other denominations out there). Anyone stashing multi-denomination racks of these, please PM me.

Is is close indeed, but wow....what a change from the $5 to the $25. Doesn't even look close to the same set

IMO, that would be either the Highway 9 $100 for its incredible colors, or the Nevada $100, which has a truly unique spot pattern:

The Double Down 25's are amazing. The inlay and the spots go so well together. And those HWY 9 hundos are solid.

Every time you post that chip I reflect of how short sighted I was to pass up buying a couple racks when I had the chance and bought the rest of my highway 9 set. At the time, my shortsighted thought process was I can get 4 racks of $25 chips for about the same cost as one rack of $100 chips. Same bank, more chips, so I took the extra 4 racks of $25 chips instead. Dumb, dumb, dumb. (n) :thumbsdown:

Tough choice! For me, the Hwy 9s are right up there with the Grand Victorias slugging it out for top casino set. IMO, their only weakness is the dark shade of red chosen for the $5.

The real answer was not to choose between (A) five racks of $25 chips and (B) one rack of $100 and one rack of $25 chips. The real answer was (C) all of the above. Hindsight is 20/20.

I used to feel the same way about the $5 chips, but they've grown on me a lot since buying them, especially after using them quite often in our weekly home game.

I agree - there's a lot of subtlety about the 25 chip that you don't see from the photos. I have 500 DDs and they are pretty much my favourite set so sorry not for sale.
