My wife and I recently had an offer accepted on a house!!! :) In order to help fund some of the initial projects I'd like to pursue (fence for the doggo, upgrades to future poker room / man-cave, etc.) I am putting up for auction this beauty of a set. Some of these were purchased during the initial Chip Room sales while other were purchased after at markup.

101 x 25¢ JACK Detroit
203 x $1 JACK Detroit
403 x $5 JACK Detroit
203 x $25 JACK Detroit Primary
83 x $100 JACK Detroit Primary
21 x $500 JACK Detroit Primary

1014 Chip JACK Detroit Cash Set

These have seen play exactly once, and I unfortunately do not have a group of players that can appreciate their awesomeness, so I am re-releasing them to the world.

Based on recent sales and auctions, I have set the starting bid at what I feel is a fair price. I've given the auction over a full week, so that if buyers want to form coalitions for splits, they have time to assemble. Feel free to post LFG (looking for group) in this thread. If said coalitions form, let me know if you'd like to split shipping / payments, and I will be happy to help however I can (no chips will be shipped until all payments received).

Chips will be shipped in the original white, Paulson boxes that they arrived in. Racks (ChipCo, I think) and 1000 ct. bird cage is also available to winner, PM me for details.
  1. STARTING BID: [ $3150 ]
  2. Bids must be placed using numbers (no images), in whole dollars, and in minimum increments of [ $50 ]
  3. NO RESERVE. The Starting Bid of this auction will be treated as the Reserve Price.
  4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via PM/Conversation.
  5. No bid edits or bid retractions permitted. (note: ALL edits are logged instantly)
  6. Auction will use the '5 minutes after last closing bid rule'. Highest bid at [ 6:00 PM CDT, Monday, July 15th, 2019 ] will win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time - then the closing time will be within 5 minutes after the latest bid was posted. A bid at the close time is NOT a valid bid. Since seconds are not displayed on post timestamps, these examples will be used as a reference.
  7. I reserve the right to: 1) cancel the auction if no bids have been made; 2) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.
  8. PCF (its Owner, Admins, and Moderators) are in no way responsible for any actions in this auction.
  9. Shipping Terms: [ USPS Flat Rate Box(es) - buyer pays shipping, insurance extra ]
  10. Payment Terms: [ PayPal Friends & Family, invoicing available at additional cost ]

Nice chips and GLWA... great for many of the members here that said they had missed the Jacks sale because they joined PCF after.

I might be keen for the $1 and rack of $25 to close up the GB.
Need price. Shipping to Australia too.

This would definitely speak for all the chips in the offering.

How to proceed? We got @nezara in TX. @xdan in Australia and @bentwz is in China or New York. @davin is in Hawaii. I have Canada needs but can pick up in US. It would seem we all need to PM the seller and make shipping requests and start to pay.

I'd love to make this happen but it's an auction with alot of time left for the whole hoard to be picked up.

Fracs are spoken for if GB happens by @davin

$1s are also spoken for if GB happens by @xdan

Just keep track of the thread. I guess I am really watching this one closely and I have touched base with the seller.

@NewB you are next in line for fracs and $1s should either @davin or @xdan give up dibs.

I'd say this whole set is already targeted by heavy walleted snipers who are watching us and laughing while we try to get scrapso_O

One has to have hope...

How do dibs buyers know what they pay for each denomination? Like say if the winning bid is 6000 bucks (doubtful) is everyone locked in at a certain price so that the winning person knows for sure he can sell the chips to the people with dibs?

Spose I should chime in here. To be clear, bids should be placed like any other auction, with individuals placing bids. The note in the OP is meant to mean after all is said and done, I can help out with splits. As far as cost per person in split, I can give suggestions, but that should really be determined elsewhere.

I've got a PM thread going. We do need to decide a bid or not. So there are some decisions to be made. I'm deciding against getting involved. My racks and barrel are back for dibs.

Thanks @Alex Lundstrum , I was never foggy about what we needed to do. I think I will stick to buying racks as I find them
