What would be a good starting stack for a $20 + $5 bounty buy in for 4-6 people?

I like 12/12/5/6 in denoms of 25/100/500/1000 for a total of 36 chips(including the bounty) T10,000 to start. Beginning level of 25/50 for 200 BB or 50/100 for 100 BB. Add 4 T5000 chips, start at 50/100 level and 300 BB just like the WSOP.

You could also use the 5/25/100/500 scale and start with 20/16/5 for a T1000. 20-5s is alot but I like nice, even stacks.

Number of people in the tourney is irrelevant IMO.

10-10-7 for T1,000 is a good one. Add 1, 2, or 3 500s for T1,500, T2,000, or T2,500, respectively, if you want.

-or-

12-12-7 for T5,000

-or-

12-12-3-7 for T10,000

No $5k chips in my Terrible's set yet. ;) I have some friends coming over tonight. Took the glass top off the poker table this morning, unpacked the other 3 poker chairs and filled up a chip case from my Terrible's storage bin. ;)

Went with this. :)

Thanks, the starting stacks were: 12/12/7/5 in denoms of 25/100/500/1000. (a slight modification to what Rich suggested. 2 more $500s and 1 less $1k chip.)

6 players with $25 buy-in. 1st paid $100 and 2nd paid $50.

:)

Congrats. How did the 12/12/7/5 breakdown work for you guys? I have a set that was based off those stacks but it ended up using more 500s than necessary due to the 500-1000 reset. Been 12/12/5/6 for me since.

Worked out great. We started at 25/50 blinds. Blinds went up every 30 mins. Probably should of been every 20 mins, but we all had a good time. I made sure I had paper towels nearby. I said something to one player about not touching the cards/chips and table with this greasy fingers. After that everything, everyone was good at not doing that.

I got a bunch of compliments on the table and the chairs. Especially the chairs. Everyone said they were really comfortable and liked that the back gave a little. +1 for flex back chairs!

We played with the LEDs on a green color. I wanted to turn them off but everyone said that they were not distracting so I left them on. This morning I wiped chairs, SSC and rail with a damp micro fiber and put the glass top back on. Back to my temp office desk. :)

Sounds like a very friendly and fun game. 30 minute blinds with those stacks must have been fun for everyone. Nice comfortable pace.

Yeah we had a good time. Took a pic of the table before everyone came over. I like the blue on blue look. :)
