Wanted 200 5 Cent chips (3 Viewers)

Can I see?

Will you buy them if I dig them out? What will you pay? What are you NOT looking for? Does color matter?

It’s not like shits on a shelf right next to me. There are boxes to open and move and I’m not going to do that just for your entertainment.

I’m offering to help. What are you looking for and what are you not looking for?

I will likely buy them for $100-200, but if you think they're worth more, I'm happy to pay more. I would prefer if they were yellow, pink, or brown, because I don't have those colors in my set so they can't be confused.

I have these at least, and I may have a few more barrels. I may not though. But there are more out there.

How much are you selling a rack of yellows for? I would really like to have 2 of them.

It’s your WANTED ad.

What is your offer?
This is a pretty general wanted ad. I think it's fair for people for provide options and pricing? Why does a newer member need to randomly guess at the value of chips you just showed them and they've likely never seen before?

Any wanted ad should include the mold/manufacturer you are looking for and at least some indication of colors - and an offer price.

He doesn’t need to guess at the “value”. He can make an offer based on his need and what he’s willing to pay to complete his goal and if the goods meet his bill.

You’ve obviously never helped anybody with a wanted ad so you don’t know the bullshit you have to put up with while they “kick tires”. Get your info out there to start with and these pointless conversations will never come about.

Hey sorry if I cut you off from offering your chips to him.

I’m at least giving him options. If he doesn’t know “values” then how would he know if I was overpricing or underpricing them? What is the “value” for the chips I’m offering?

He can always buy new ones from CPC if he needs an idea on “value”.

On the other hand, everybody wants CPC retail prices for their used CPCs, right?
You think if you put a rack of those FDL nickels on the auction block today, they'd fetch more than a hundred bucks? Now I'm curious.

Nothing is moving at auction. I just saw 1500 TRKs sell for less than a buck apiece at auction.

Nobody has any money. That’s a given. I at least offered him some pictures, which is more than any of you all are doing.

This is why you don’t help people with vague and uncertain “wanted” ads. It always turns into a shit show.

Where is this “value” guide from hat everyone is using?
I get your point, especially for a want ad. But considering that nickel chips could be worth twenty cents or twenty dollars apiece, and considering that there aren't a lot of PCFers who could give you a fair estimate in every case, it's not exactly unreasonable for somebody to ask the value question.

Who is asking it? I’m not. The seller hasn’t yet. He made me an offer that I’m not going to take, because they are more “valuable” to me than his offer.

I’m trying to help a guy. You guys just want to pick my post apart.

Fuckung thread crappers.

Here’s a tip for the “newbie” OP

Try doing your price negotiations in PMs. Keeps the nosy Nancy’s and looky lous out of your business.

If you are interested in my chips drop me a DM. If you aren’t that’s fine too no problems here.

Does this meet all you lollygagging nits requirements? Or are there some other things that I don’t know,

I think from this point forward when I see a wanted ad I could help out I’ll just list the chips instead. Then they can compete with everyone else.

Lot more time than offering to sell him old chips you don't use lol, that's not help that's just a transaction.

This is what you are going to get with this ad. A bunch of old chips. Surprising isn’t it, that you would get used or old chips instead of brand new right off Paulson presses. Just so you aren’t disappointed when all people have to offer are chips they already own.

I'm looking for chips for a 5c/10c or 10c/20c game. I need 200 nickels but I have every required other denomination.
Let's see if we can save this thread. I think we need a do-over.

OP, the problem with your post is it is way too vague, so very hard for any of us to know what you have or what you might want. It comes across like you're interested in absolutely anything. To make this post better, why don't you put up photos of the rest of the chips these will go with. Most of us here are fine with mixed sets, meaning inlays that don't match. But usually within the same chip type. Mixing molds and manufacturers can get messy. At this point, we don't know if your other chips are dice chips, china clays, CPCs, Paulson, TRKs, or anything in between. You mentioned a possible budget of $100-150 for 200 chips, or maybe you can go higher. For that budget, you're looking at china clays, Tina's or maybe older casino used clay in a less popular mold, or heavily used.

So, knowing exactly what you have now will help us greatly to suggest or offer something to you.
