2016 Main Event (1 Viewer)

Got a text from my friend last evening that his friend (who has played in a our home game a couple times when in town) is crushing it at the main event. Turns out he sits atop everyone after all three first day flights have now completed with nearly 400k in chips.

Will be fun to keep tabs on him and see if he continues to do well.

With their weird schedule I'm betting it will be broken up into 23 episodes and air over 13 weeks in the year 2019.

Awesome pic. I have a buddy who busted yesterday 40 minutes before the end of day two... flopped set lost to a straight on the river. Still not a big fan of the gap between summer tournament and November finish.

Only source I could find says Coverage of the main event will air toward the end of the summer, and they'll return to play out the final table of the 2016 WSOP main event live on ESPN airwaves from Oct. 30-Nov. 1.

Lon McEachern was on the 2+2 Pokercast recently, and stated the ESPN broadcasts for the Main Event would start on Sept 11. A circuit event would be broadcast on Sept 6.

I've said in the past that MK seems a somewhat disagreeable fellow (note diplomacy). That's based on what I've seen of him on YouTube WSOP videos. Question: is that A) just because they're only showing the clips where he's acting like that, B) because he's consciously acting like that to tilt people, but he's a nice guy the rest of the time, or C) is he like that all the time?
