The discussion started without me so let's make it official.

The committee has begun deliberating on nominations for the 2017 HOF class. This thread is your chance to stump for sets you feel should be included. One new rule this year is that a set must be at least a year old to be eligible (pr0n must have been posted prior to 12/01/2015).

Please let us know who should be included! Posts with pics obviously help more.

Silver Dust by @toad94 Should be easy to reference since it was last year's bridesmaid finishing fifth in votes. The color selection, theme, and inlay variety are spectacular. The size of the set is immense. Photos were stolen from the 2016 thread.

As much as I'd love my Fat Tire chips to get a nod, they were ordered in December of last year, so they don't qualify. :(

I would like to nominate @Jeff 's Kings Club tournament set. This set is one of my all time favorite sets. From the colors, to the 5th level thinking that went into the design (multiple inlays for each denom). Regardless of whether or not he wants the recognition, I feel his set deserves it. Here's the link to Jeff's CHIP WEBSITE

Here's the set's description from Jeff's website:

The Kings Club (Tourney)

This is a custom tournament set manufactured in 2012 as a custom set by ASM (Atlantic Standard Molding) on the MD-50 (Diamond Square) mold. Each denomination has chips with four different inlays, with the four different kings (spade, heart, club, diamond). Additionally, the inlays colors were matched with the chip (with the exception of the yellow chip, which was matched with a maroon spot because white against yellow does not have enough contrast), so it appears that the design on the inlay is a white design on the chip itself. The set has 2,000 chips total with a breakdown of 500 $25 chips, 600 $100 chips, 500 $500 Chips, 300 $1,000 chips and 100 $5,000 chips. This set was designed to support a four table (40-person) tournament with a $25,000 starting stack.

I'm offering up a third entry by @Lucky Dog , and another in his Gambling Ladies series. The colors, mold, and simple-but-elegant/effective inlay and spot progression make these a classy, fantastic choice. Not to mention he has denom progressions for tournaments, American denoms, and the .10/.50/2/10 progression that's popular in various parts of the world. Fantastic all-around set (and some killer pr0n to boot!..dude knows how to set the stage for them chippies!)

In another nod to the chipmaster that is @toad94 , I'd love to see the Cedar Room/Huntley Lodge set nominated. Here'S a real quick pic of his BCC samples (which are probably my favorite sample set of customs, even over my own!), as well if a single example of his $11 chip from the ASM series. I'd love to see more pr0n of these so we can see them in pots, stacks, and racks, but Toadie will have to be the one to post that.

This is the best I can do as far as pics go.

I'd like to stump for my own set of ASM custom Ace's Hotel and Country Club Set (thread here)! :)

Thanks for the nod, @slisk250 ! Here's some updated pics w/the colors in their final form. This isn't the set in its entirety, but it at least shows all the colors as they are today. For reference, the 500's, 1000's, and 25k's all had tweaks from their prior colors.

This set is one of my favorite of all time and turned me on to the hobby. I have a hard time believing it wasn't a first ballot entry into the hall of fame. Beautifully executed inlays and chip combo's! WOW!

2 for 1 in this post

The Gambling Lady @Lucky Dog - Great backstory - look at the damn pic!

Circus City House of Cards - @Lucky Dog - this is someone else's custom set that I would buy in a snap call. Great all time mold not available any time soon if ever. Another great story too.

Circus City House of Cards is near and dear to my heart. I love playing with both these damn sets! Thanks for the props!

Thanks for the love Psypher1000!

Looking through the nominees that just missed the cut over the last few years, I think the following four sets deserve a chance to get in this year (based on prior performance and of course on my preference for these chip sets:

All of these are kick-ass sets. I'm surprised they didn't get enough love in the HOF last year. I"m say 3/4 of these are classics, well worthy of a place...

Great choices!

What came first - Aces or @links_slayer Three Put? I can't remember the time line..!

@Lucky Dog has some wonderful sets!

I like the Circus City but am not so crazy about the stock art. Great backstory though and tribute set. I'd love to play some cards with that set. Super hot.
