SOLD 300 Faux Jack $5s (overlabeled Lagranges) (1 Viewer)

FOR SALE: Three racks of “Faux Jack” $5 chips in very good condition. The sale also includes an additional 160+ @Gear labels (identical to the ones on the chips) in case the buyer wishes to buy more Terribles to overlabel.

PRICE: $575 including shipping in the U.S. I would prefer not to send these overseas, but will entertain offers with additional shipping and caveats to be discussed via PM.

NOTES:

• These are in reality Lagrange Terribles with @Gear labels applied. The labels could be removed with a little labor. That would take about 3-4 hours, depending on your dexterity, but I’m selling them with labels on only.

• There are a few stray fleabites, but these are in great shape overall, and make a great fit for a playable Jack cash set. I don’t find any spinners.

• This is part of my mixed set of real Jacks, faux Jacks and overlabeled 43mm chips. I will post some pics of how they look with the rest of the chips.

BACKSTORY: These are part of my large mixed Jack set, which includes Detroits, Clevelands, and various overlabeled chips including 43 mm Sunset Beaches, BTPs, et al. I preferred the off-white and purple edgespots on the Terribles to the standard Jack 5s with their ketchup-and-mustard color scheme... I am only deaccessioning these because my first choice was Cancun 5s to overlabel, but it took six months to find enough. Below are two pics pic of how the overlabeled Terribles fit in with other Jacks and faux Jacks:

SPLITS: I would rather sell these as a set, as I think they function best in a cash set where the host needs 300 fives. However, if all accounted for I will consider splitting them into racks (not barrels!).

I was fortunate to find a large batch quickly. They cost me more than the total price above, with the labels. I’m taking a (small) loss on these.
