are the scandia 5$ usually not on the h&c mold? because the 5$ here seem to have a different mold from the 1$ and 25$ chips

I saw that yesterday. I was pretty surprised. I've never seen any Paulson chips on that mold, but I didn't give it a lot of thought.

Made on both the Web mold and on the h&c mold. Both are in this set apparently.

And chips on both molds were made with round and shaped inlays ($5, $25, $100, $500 denoms - all $1 chips have round inlays).

I fell into a bunch of web scandia $1s and they have a weird plastic feel to them. I actually made a couple lowball offers on this auction until I realized they were webs.

Here's a weird one for everyone. I also have 1 scandia $5 that is not in the standard color and a handful with 3 sets of edge spots instead of four.

My biggest chipping regret was selling a rack of the $5s off in between the time we were using them as nickels and when we started using them as actual $5s.
