I'll shamelessly throw in a plug here... got to play with these cards last weekend at DeusEx's game and fell I'm love with them. Great feel, colors are deep and rich.

Free endorsments are always welcome

I see the box frame inset on the Aces. Do all the cards come with that box, and if so, is it cream colored?
Is there a name for that box frame / look?

See pics, no cream color in frame, the is a big contrast on ink as background is very white and colors are vibrant and black is deep (not as much as on Gemaco luckly)
I am not sure if there is a name for cream background inside frame, I call that cappucino front...
If you need more info do not hesitate to ask

I think you should go ahead and order 3 sets because if you only get one you'll end up mad at yourself. I think I'm going to order another 3 sets. These have moved into my top 2 or 3 brand of cards.

I have to ask now. What are your other top brands?

I'm into Fournier and the plastic Texas Hold'em Classic poker cards from ThePokerStore website (they have a design that goes to the edge of the card without a border like the Trefl). And I always like Copag and Kem. I do not like the Faded Spades.

How do the Trefl feel compared to Fournier or Copag and the like? I don't like cards that have a rough texture on the finger tips or are too stiff to shuffle.

Thanks!

Copag should not even be mentioned in the same breath as Teflon, or Fournier. They are just slightly stiffer than the Fournier I have, and I emphasize SLIGHTLY, but there is a noticeable difference, but, I geek they have a better texture and feel than the Fournier. Slightly (again with they word!) more pebbled, grainy then the Fournier. The feel is great. Copag's have more flex, but, I consider Copag to have a clammy almost wax-like feel after a few uses.

They are not as stiff as Faded Spade which I use to love, but, after a night of using them in a PLO game this past weekend they started to wear me down. FS is on a fast decent into the "no thanks" category.

The problem is and always has been quality vs quantity per $ spent....

if you don't mind players trashing your favourite decks order what you like no matter the cost

top of the top last year was Fournier 2012 WSoP edition if you don't mind standard index, you can still find them on eBay

Copags have prons too, easly avaliable and playable even if slightly slippery

i use Trefls myself for durability, contrast of color and full bleed which is hard to find this days.

And to answer the question, my the favorites are Trefl, Fournier Titanium, Modiano Platinum, however, the Trefl colors are far superior! I find the backs to be mesmerizing to look at, the colors are so deep and rich, and, the design looks almost 3D!

Modiano Platinium are great cards even they are more expensive than basic Modiano
