Yep...easy to get more back even if you don't keep it. Re-felt it, eliminate the racetrack. The base is worth more than that by itself.

Pretty sure I have this exact same table. I ended up getting one from a game I used to go to. Game broke up, he sold me the table recently. I paid $80 for mine and am dumping that base because I don't have room for it. Probably going to put some folding legs on it or use it as a table top.

As it is, seems to be a well built table. Played at it for many games, it was the final table. Only flaw I would say is there's very little padding under the speed cloth. You can knock on it and hear the wood. When I end up changing the felt, will see if some better padding can be added.

Definitely a good deal at $40 as long as you have room for that large base, and if it's in decent shape.
