I was told by the original owner that these were ordered in the early 60's for a home game. They are in used condition. One side has denomination and the other has initials "PJ". They could use a cleaning and oil. The $1's are dark blue and fit tighter in the chipco racks I put them in. It looks like this rack has spinners and stack up wobbly. I took a pic against sunlight so you can see it. The rest of the chips don't look like they have that problem. There are two chips with noticeable bites. One (25c) & one ($10) chips.

25c x 100
50c x 100
$1oo x 100
$10oo x 100

$250 US shipped pp/ff

These types of chips make great inventory for relabel projects. They are in far better condition than casino used blanks. It might take a while to get enough of a specific color, but building inventory for future projects is a good plan.

Good luck with the sale. Someone is going to give these a new home and perhaps a new life as part of a relabeled custom set.

can you post a pic of the whole set? Any warping or other detraction? I do see a bite out of the yellow.

fyi.. these might be Christy and Jones if it was the early 60's (unless of course he told you he ordered them from Paulson)

Sorry guys. Took off for a small vacation week I will respond to pm's shortly.

The original owner (old timer) said one of the guys in his poker group was a pit boss in Vegas and ordered them from "the paulson company." But I have no way of verifying that. So they very well could be C&J.

not sure about this, but I think the slightly "curved" brim on the hat, was a feature of the C&J mold only

Early sixties is sold by C&J, made by Burt Co. In Maine. Post-1965 is sold by Paulson, made by Burt Co. on the C&J mold. Post-1970s is sold by Paulson, made by Paulson in Las Vegas using new TH&C molds (until they moved production to Mexico).

Sorry about absence guys. Still on vacation in mountains. No Internet, came into town. Thanks to Bg and everyone who provided info on chips. I would have never known that.

Sale pending when I get back...

Is there a consensus on these chips then? Are they Paulson or C&J?
