Does anyone know where I can buy some of these at that are the hard plastic storage tubes I got some on eBay but they are very cheap plastic I could break a tube in my hand if I wanted too thats how cheaply made they are anyone know where to get the hard plastic ones ? If they even make them

Did you get the ones with red or blue caps. The blue ones are total sht.

I got the ones with the Red Caps they are total sht as well so flimsy its crazy and the tops dont even stay on

@mummel or @BigSlick4523 do you have a link for the 43mm storage tubes? I'd like to pickup even some bad ones and I can't find the ones you have referenced. Thanks!

This link might be helpful.

I don't understand the objections to the flimsy tubes - it's not like the tubes will be tossed in the back of a pickup. Presumably they'll be in a case or a bag that will provide whatever protection they need. In my mind, the tube is just to keep the chips all together, and the flimsy one does a fine job of that.
I have the ones with the red caps and my caps don't fall off; they're actually difficult to remove, because of a vacuum effect.

I dont sorry, but I remember I found the red tube ones on eBay and they work fine. The blue cap ones were total, total garbage. They fold in your fingers with little pressure.

Come to think of it, glass tubes with plastic caps for 39mm and 43mm chips would be pretty neat.

Does have to be clear? I have some of these Professional cardboard tubes....

Ive never checked. Do chips fit in a roll???????!

Yeah if I remember correctly. Cant remember the exact model, but I think it was H. Try and search for the old thread or contact the seller.

@mummel Fantastic thanks! Not sure why I didn't find that thread before but thank you for being so thorough in your help. This is great. I am so impressed at how resourceful and generous this forum is.

I take my lead from the rest of the good folk here.

And just to clarify, I use H for 39mm chips. The tubes arent perfectly circular, so H would be too tight for 43mm chips IMO.

My Paulson 43mm chips fit perfectly in H size tubes.

No, I have the thin plastic tubes shown in the eBay link contained in the thread I linked above. - only one cap; they're closed at the bottom.
The plastic is thin, so you can give them a squeeze to break the vacuum seal.
Paulson 43's and Sunfly 43's fit beautifully, with at least a couple mm's of clearance all around. 39mm chips seem to rattle around a but onsite the H size tube.
I'll post a picture later.

Yeah my chips move around in the H tube but they fit pretty well. What I do is stack all of them on the table, then turn the tube upside down and fill it. No vacuums issues.

The T is too small for 39mm so there isnt much of a choice. I havent tested a 43mm in the H but my assumption was that it would be too tight, particularly in those shtty blue cap tubes that aren't perfectly round, and would create vacuum issues.

But if they fit, H would be preferred for traveling as the tubes would have very little give. I mean, its 1.5mm diffs. Thats pretty tight (chips would need perfect QC to fit).
