As requested, people said they might be interested in these chips if they were broken into 2 sets, opposed to one.

Breakdown for each respective set.

150 x $100
80 x $500
80 x $1000
40 x $5000

1 set sold. 1 remaining

Tempting. Could I get a close up of what the yak looks like? Also what do they feel like?

5k chip is white/gray. Feel is a standard ceramic IMO, other people might have better opinions, as I have not handled many ceramics. @MD Mike

Depending on which batch they came from, they either are Chipcos or were produced by PGI on Chipco's old equipment and therefore will feel identical to Chipcos. Definitely the best feeling ceramics on the planet imo.

+1. IMO, if you don't have Chipco samples, the closest chip in terms of feel is GOCC. I seem to recall posting a comparison...I'll see if I can find it.

I would say they are comparable. My original thoughts are here: post. As I mentioned in a previous thread, there are slight differences with some of the blanks used for the custom Yaks made after the initial offering, but my grey 5k's are the same as the original Chipco's.

Here's a picture of custom $1 Yak (different blank), original $5 Yak, and Nine Dragons (GOCC) from this thread

And one of my quotes from that thread:
Chipco / PGI Yak / GOCC (I could swear these are the same blank...)

That said, I have 1800 Royal Yak chips, so I'm a bit biased. :)

Posted these on eBay, if anyone has any reasonable offers, I'll certainly listen, whether its for the whole set or 1 x 500 set

Although in the market for a ceramic set, the breakdown doesn't quite fit my setup. Just curious, can you actually buy new/stock Royal Yaks anymore from any supplier? I haven't stumbled upon any sites carrying them.

@churlbut18 no you cannot, Palm gaming had the rights to make them on old chipco equipment. they were doing so until about 6 or so months ago when they got rid of that specific equipment. any sets you were to find would have to be on eBay or through the classifieds. These were originally priced at I think .49 each, marked down to .39c for PCF or CT members

I love them, but have no need for them as I literally never play tournaments in home games, except meetups

I'm amazed these are still on here. Great price for a nice set of ceramics. I used to have a huge set of these for cash games and tournament and I loved them. They held up extremely well. I went a little overboard at one point and had 1000 x custom yellow nickels in addition to another 1k or so of the other denominations at one point for my micro stakes game lol.

One of my friends from the Thursday night league may be interested in one of the 500 piece sets. If he decides he wants them, I'll shoot you a PM.
Sounds good, they have literally only been used for one tournament

I am also very shocked, surprised I'll be taking a loss on these. but i guess with all the custom ceramic options, people arent interested. That and our demographic I would say generally speaking are more cash game players

+1. These are excellent chips for this price. I never expected them to last this long.

It's an animal, similar to a bull. The 'Royal Yak' is a casino in Cancun, Mexico. Apparently these chips were made by Chipco for them, but the deal fell thru for some reason.
