I only need 1s and I'm more interested in secondary otherwise I might have put an offer in by now. I'm buying a house and would rather keep the $500 as well....
Seems like it would be good for a $.25/$.25 or a $.25/$.50 game, but there's no fracs. If you use the snappers as fracs, there's no $20's or $25's and not all that many fives.
If you purchase the set w/the intent of using the snappers as a different denom and want to label them, there's further time and expense involved in getting the labels and readying/labeling the chips
I don't think the set is bad, nor do I think the asking price is awful, but I do think the audience this set will appeal to isn't overly wide.
My first batch of Aztars I planned on using the primary snappers as either quarters or 50 cents. End result was they just didn't look good. I also attempted to use them as T250 chips but that was an epic fail too. Dumped 120+ of the snappers and bought the Missouri Aztar fracs. While not the correct Paulson mold, they at least look better
ZOMG @chipjoker ! You have two of the things I need...22 primary $1's (I'd take them all, but I won't be greedy) and...well, hell, I'd take the whole damn rack of those snappers!

This auction builds a partial set. A buyer can't really run much of any game with the chips as offered. Relabeling the snappers would make this set viable for $0.25/$0.50 - the $100 chips become a "store of value" that greatly stretches the bank for a micro stakes game.
If I were buying this, I would already be looking $5s and $25s. They have been available on eBay and here off and on for months.
As for pricing. This will come as no shock to most of us but the prices are spiking hard. I wouldn't put any faith in your personal experiences from the last half of 2015. (example: I built my set mostly in the last half of 2015 for an average price of sixty cents per chip, including a rack of $100s. It's likely worth more like $1.50 per chip now. {yes pictures are coming, someday})
eBay example - I see aztar $5s of various types selling in the $75/rack range around thanksgiving. Racks of $5s were sold at $160/rack in January. That is over 100% jump in prices in a couple of months.
Point is - no one knows the 'fair market price' of this set. If you like the chips buy them now.

PS: I think I can help out with the $5 chips if someone is looking.
