The chips are original colors and not dyed. I'd probably end up with purple arms trying a thing like that.

I'm kind of sad that I missed out on the whole Faux Clay Nation thing, it could have saved me a lot of money in my early chipping career. I cannot see backing up now, as they'd never see play.
