My latest from eBay. I need to keep reminding myself I'm not a singles chip collector.
Anybody have any idea why these were used for? They couldn't have been meant to play as face value cheques, right? Some sort of promotional thing?

A quick scan of Fleabay brings up 1 cent, 5 cent, and 25 cent pieces. Spinettis has a $1 for sale. That leads me to think they were for play, at least to some extent. I could see having a micro value like this as a promotional gimmick, but three?

Operational in the 90s - and yes, young folks, a penny was pretty much worthless then too. Maybe someone here knows more of the history.

Yup, I grabbed a nickel a few weeks ago. These chips are silly expensive. But that's how singles go.
Anyway, they're bright.
If anybody knows what Artichoke's Poker Palace did with these chips, I'd love to know.

I think this was the first single that I purchased. Awesome chip and I love the blaze orange. I came to post a pic of my penny chip but you have it covered.
