I've been shopping around trying to figure out who I'm going to buy my plans set of poker chips from and I am pretty much dead set on a ceramic set and so far ABC's ceramic chips most fit my preferences. What I'm concerned about is stickiness. I'm going to assume that with constant use they do eventually get sticky but I'm curious if anyone knows enough about these chips to give me an idea of really how much play would cause this.

The main reason I ask is because I am alarmed that of all the sample that I have tested, ABC's chips are the ones I most liked the feel, look and sound of but they are the only set of ceramic chips I have sampled that I have had sitting out that after a short amount of time using (shuffling and playing with) that appear to have become fairly sticky already. I'm wondering if maybe this could just be a temperature thing since they have been sitting out in my room. However, I have had other ceramic sets sitting out in my room that I have also been playing around with and have not had that issue. Is it possibly just that the materials made from ABC's chips are just more sensitive to certain temperatures?

Does anyone have an idea on this?

Hmm...when you received our samples last month you blasted us for just about every aspect of the chips. It's surprising to see you say "so far ABC's ceramic chips most fit my preferences."

I always suggest thoroughly washing your hands prior to playing with your chips.

I have played multiple times over periods of months/years with ceramic chips of all types (including but not limited to ABC), and have never once had a set become 'sticky'.

Pretty sure my hands have always been clean before hand but I suppose I could have lost track at some point. But yeah, it's just a small sample set and after a mere couple of hours worth of shuffling them they are very sticky.

And now I just noticed that another ceramic samples that I had sitting out that I haven't really even touched much is also starting to feel very similar. I shuffle them briefly yesterday and they were perfect at the time. My room does tend to be the warmest room in the house so I'm wondering if this could have something to do with it because otherwise I am puzzled.

I have a cash and tournament ABC set and no issues at all.
Great product and GREAT customer service!

Very satisfied ABC customer right here and no stickiness experienced. Would echo others in saying that as far as product and service, ABC is great :-).

Now, about this 'stickiness' problem. Have you noticed your vision deteriorating recently? Perhaps some hair developing on your palms? Jokes ;)
