Not Mine Aces Set (1 Viewer)

Not justifying the price but dayum those have to be one of the sweetest sets to look at in stacks.

Considering a set just sold on here for 1/3 of the price I'd say its overpriced imo. But to each their own, if somebody really wants those chips they are worth what someone is willing to pay.

They are a great set in my opinion. Giant inlay isn't ideal but I like that they are generic casino themed at least. I am getting into the X-Wing Miniatures game though and I needed to free up a few hundred dollars, so had to say goodbye to my set!

Your loss. My gain! :D

But IMO that set was a huge bargain.

Not saying these are the right price, I'm not sure what the current value would be. Just saying can't really go off of that set as a guide. Super cheap and great pick up by manamong.

FWIW when I priced mine I was thinking around $2/chip for the hundreds, $1.50/chip for the $25s, and $0.70-0.75 for the more worn ones and fives. Then a small discount on top for the quick sale. I don't think any of those numbers are far off. Last month there was another set in the classifieds that went for $550 + shipping with more hundreds.

Maybe they could go for more since we haven't had a big set of inlaid Paulsons come on the market in a long time, but I feel good about the sale price. I usually try to aim a bit under market for a quick sale. Plus I'm always happy to pass on my chips to another collector :)

That looks about right to me, although I'd put the $25s right up there with the $100s. The mint $3 and $25 chips are the stars of this set. They'd be worth twice that with a normal size inlay.

@BGinGA soooo what are some good quaters for this set?

I just picked up about 1100 total and need quarters. I only got 1s, 5s, 25s, and 100s, so blue yellow or orange are the best colors to use. Anything readily available for a relabel?

Didn't Dave just pick up some blue rhc fracs? ;)

I was thinking atleast $1 for $1s, $1-$1.50 for $5s, $2 -$25s and $3 for $100s.

But there seems to be either a love/hate relationship with Aces. Which I guess can drive the market prices down. Personally I love them and hope to own a set one day.

Pretty sure some or all of these were mine which were sold about a year ago for an average of around $1/chip. The current asking price reflects an increase of about 250%. The 25s, and others, are sweet in stacks but such a bummer to not see more of the edge spots when face-on. This set confirmed I don't like oversized inlays. Particularly at $2.50/chip.
