I recently acquired ( well they are in the mail on their way ) a really nice PCA cash set (https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/raffle-400-pca-cash-set-chips-free-shipping.20297/ ) and I am thinking of adding a $0.25 to the set. I'm pretty sure PCA did not come in a quarter so I'm trying to figure out my options and looking for some advice.

Option 1. Find another chip already labeled $0.25 that will look good with the set.
Can anyone suggest a chip that I can use right out of the box? I realize that it may be difficult or take some time to find 50 to 100 chips to enhance the set and that they won't match exactly, but a mixed set is not a huge issue. I'm just not familiar enough with chips to even know what to look for or what might work.

Option 2. Get some Paulson's and relabel them to match.
I found a rack of blue Paulson's TH&C with a hot stamped starburst ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-PAULSON...121569?hash=item2834e51a61:g:VAoAAOSwAPVZIKYi ). I could just use them as is or I could have them milled and relabeled as $0.25 PCA. Has anyone done something like this? Pros/Cons? I'm guessing that it'll probably cost about $300 for the rack to go this option ( $100 for the chips and $2/chip to mill and relabel ). That is more than I was hoping to spend but will probably be worth it in the long run if I go this way.

Option 3. Stop this crazy endeavor, use the set as is and just play $0.50/$0.50 or $0.50/$1

Option 4. ???
Any other suggestion on another direction to go?

You don't really need a set with both $0.25's and $0.50's. Because you already have the $0.50's, it may be easiest to just play $0.50/$0.50. If you do decide you want quarters, you can probably sell off your $0.50's to help fund the quarters. Hotstamps and labels would be good options.

All things being equal, I'd rather play .25/.50 than .50/.50. But if you already have enough PCA .50 fracs, I'd say it's a no-brainer to just play .50/.50.
I can't see a compelling reason to pay for those fakey group buy quarters (or genuine quarters from a different casino) when you already have matching fracs.

Since you already have the PCA 50c chips, just have @Gear create a matching 25c label for them. Cheapest option, and no milling necessary.

That's an option, and surely is the least expensive. But won't it hurt the chip's value ( and not from $0.50 to $0.25 :-P )? And what is the potential of having stacking issues and spinners adding labels directly over the inlay? Plus it seems like a shame to cover up the pretty frac. and I'd be worried that it would look cheap? I don't know since I've never done anything like that before. Do you know of any others that have done something like this and can share some before/after images?

I have 200 relabeled Casablanca $5 chips currently posing as 20th Century quarters. A thin vinyl label (no lamination) will fit nicely, cause no spinner issues, and not affect the value of the chips whatsoever.

Wow, looks great! Is this an option on a hot stamped chip? Like the ones I linked to on eBay above? If so, that may be the best mid-priced option. Keeping the $0.50s intact and adding a quarter as well.

Hot stamps usually have to be milled in order to relabel them nicely...although on worn HS, labels can often just be placed over it with little visibility of the HS underneath. Just be sure you don't destroy the original labels (like the .50 PCAs) before relabeling them, that way they can always "go back" to being the original frac they are! :)
