Since the Horseshoe $2 are hard to come by and sell for a premium I had the idea of having a friend pick up a couple hundred $2 chips while he will be in Cincinnati soon from JACK. I haven't harvested before so not sure how accommodating the casino will be to his request. Any suggestions?

They are used for limit games. You won't have any problem buying a few racks.

The 6/12 limit Omaha 8 game that ran on Fridays was the only game using these chips. This game has now broken and moved to another room. There are no games currently running at the casino that use these chips. The only time they previously let them out of the cage was on Fridays for the O8 game.

That being said I have no idea if that will make them harder to grab, but your best bet is either going on a Friday or offering to tip. I've tried to get them on other days in the past even when that game was still going, and was turned away.

Make sure your friend goes to the poker cage. The main cage won't have them. Bring a backpack, they'll check it when you go in but don't check it before you leave. They don't like it when you take the acrylic racks, but may not notice if it's a 1-off harvest. I wouldn't recommend making a pattern of it.

However many racks you actually want, get 1 extra rack to sort out bad chips. Either sell the others back to someone local at a little under face value, or have your buddy sort the crappy ones out at an empty table or in his car and bring the bad ones back. Overall they're in pretty good shape, but there are some weird ones left in that mix. I have it on good authority that someone has cherry picked a large amount of good ones  :whistling:

Any other questions just shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to answer.

Good luck!
