All Black Base Set (1 Viewer)

I have talked to a few people about doing an all black base set. I have seen some posts in the past about it. And the concern has always been dirty stacking.

What do y'all think about these mockups? I tried to add enough color and spot variations that it cut through.

Plus a lot of table Felt is black base as well, you will need to provide a bright / white table topper as well whenever you bring it as a guest set too

Black! That's the whole point!
Either black with large colored numbers or colored inlays to match

Black chips are my favorite base. I just feel like no matter how much you try to undirty these you’ll still be inviting disaster if that makes sense.

I don't think I'd do it as a limit set...although that is an intriguing option. I might need to burn a few hours playing around with that idea

Sorry but it’s a horrible idea. Imagine looking at a big pot of these and trying to estimate how much is there. Bunch of different colors, all against a black background

Not sure if serious, but to respond to this: these GPIs are predominantly all a different color base with the common thread between them being smaller white spots, making the consistent color less present than the base and allowing each chip to stand out, particularly if you get into a dirty stack situation. What you've shown so far is more of the opposite: you've done the "mostly base color, smaller spots" except you flipped the percentage each is visible in the designs, and by making all the base the same you've made black far more predominant on every chip.

Here's a 2 minute idea of what might work better using a consistent black base but LOTS of color spotting (which makes the black almost more of a spot on some of them). Even with something like this, it's probably a bad idea, but as always, YDY.
