I know this may fly in the face of tradition so please don't crucify me however is there a chipset that exists where all the denoms have a primary color of black and the only distinguishing difference are the edge spots being different colors to show the different denominations. In essence I am looking for a cash set that have purple yellow red and white edge spot colors for a mostly monochromatic scheme

Pretty sure we've seen something like that on cheap plastic chips, though I can't think of a set off the top of my head.

I’ve seen it done with a white base on some CiC chips, and I think one of Michael’s BCC quarter-pie sets (maybe Speakeasy?) did it with gray, but I can’t recall any black-based sets like that offhand.

Looks like China's come through with the goods but maybe not the colors you're looking for.

14g grunters too! (y)

Hey, don't let these folk crush your dream! Grab the 14g sluggers and enjoy them! :ROFLMAO:

I like the Majestic relabel idea though ;)

I once saw a large set of asm roman mold blanks that were all black with 4 or 5 different 312 spots. They were pretty cool. It was years ago and they were owned by Jim from the Chiproom.

I love black chips, and don’t doubt that it’d potentially look cool. However, I think playability would suck with a set with all the same base colors...

If there were a lot of large edge spots on each chip with a variety colors it could work. But why?

If black is your favorite color make it the workhouse chip in your set. So for a cash set that would most likely be the $5.

I have thought about doing just that with a custom set to use colors that normally don't get to see play at low stakes.

I've actually seen an all black set with different color inserts before, cheap plastic of course.

It is sooooo hard differentiating denoms every single friggin time you throw in chips that it is unbearable.

Please don't take our comments as hate, we're actually trying to save you time and money.

Aw, you could do it with the quarter pie spot pattern and I'm sure the chips would play fine. And as alluded above, I know somebody here did exactly that with a gray base, and I don't recall people bashing those chips.

You could do something like this, but I don't think it looks good, and the edge spot levels are high to pull off the effect for a set that is meh.

No worries, being new to the whole idea of custom chips I lean on experience. All points are valid in my book unless someone is just outright rude.
