I heard the hype and pulled the trigger from amazon japan. I do alot of dealing and these might be the best feeling cards I have ever felt. Excited to see how they hold up long term!

Yeah these are my favorite cards as well. Same feel as Kems without the quality control issues.

I have bridge sized KEMs, I didn’t use them for a while and opened them recently and are almost completely destroyed/warped. I don’t know if it was moisture from my basement, but I’m optimistic these cards won’t have the same fate.

They run about $24 USD per setup which isn't a bad price. Shipping is around $20 for the first setup but drops to around $1-2 for each additional setup. If you amortize shipping over 3-4 setups it's closer to $30 shipped per setup which isn't a bad price for the best cards on the planet.

You can also add some of their PVC cards to your order. They're only $4-6 USD/deck and also excellent cards.

The last time these were available on Amazon Japan IIRC they cost about the same in yen, but it was stronger compared to USD/EUR. I ended up passing then, but I'd consider the current opportunity a nice discount and I did order four setups. FWIW the last time Amazon also said X left in stock with more on the way, but that latter part took a looong time...

Can confirm ^ is about the correct price.

Aaand they're gone. For now? Congrats to all who ordered some. :ROFLMAO:

Damnit.

If any Canucks snagged and want to send a set up, I'd be in.

I think I'm the only one that didn't like these cards. It was because of 2 main things. 1) I couldn't shuffle them well. Cards clumped together. 2) Those elongated suit PIPs, ugh. I measured them. Card is 89mm long, and bottom of the suit PIP is 37 mm down from the top. I know most people don't care about this, but it drives me crazy.

Now, I do agree that they have that great feel like Kems, so I get that. I also love Kems but have sworn them off because of the bowing.

I'm planning a trip to Japan in May. I wonder if it would be difficult (or possible) to order from Amazon Japan or somewhere else to my hotel in Osaka...?
Just a note on one of the secondary options - it seems that Angel does not talk to non-licensees via its online inquiry form so there'll be no help there if the product isn't available from Amazon Japan. Can always try, but getting a response from them has been impossible even on simple questions.

Maybe someone else has the secret.

The only guaranteed way is buying directly from the factory in-person, although I think I've seen at least the 100% PVC cards might be stocked in Japanese retail stores.

Where? Yodobashi Umeda should have them. My head has an entire railroad map in Japan so I can pretty much answer questions about Osaka or tell you better than google maps.

I’ve been there and trust me they should have them in the hobby and board game department.
