Thanks for sharing! Even though I work with these chips all day long, I really only hear about new chips coming out via forums.Looks like the MGM Grand is following suit;

I think there’s a Nevada rule that says the makers mark or whatever has to be on every chip. It just seems odd to me that it’s incorporate into, or overlapping, the MGM’s logo.The little hat and cane is cute.
My absolute favorite Vegas $1 and I knew this was going to be the eventual end-state for a chip series that had the cleanest and IMO most attractive inlay design. Great color matching (I used that for inspiration for one of my custom sets) and totally coherent as a full lineup as a chip set. It's almost like a chipper, or at least someone who cared was responsible for the design.Clearly a missed top hat placement/integration opportunity
I don't have one in hand, but my guess is that's just the scan/photo. It would be strange to have two slightly different color chips of the same value in play at the same time.Are they changing the base to a teal? The old version I have are a pretty standard blue color

The smaller inlays took away a lot of the impact they had, but this is kind of soul-crushing.
At a minimum, the lion looks like it's wearing a tiny top-hat for comedic effect, like it's saying "see what casino chips have come to? A tiny, cardboard party hat."
[EDIT - post 1500 commenting on a miserable Vegas hot-stamp design. Too bad it couldn't be something more epic.
