Stopped in at a local coin shop today to look for some 43mm air tights for @Puggy (sorry Pasi, no one has any that size anywhere, only 41mm)

And I told them I collect poker chips so he showed me a box full of goodies. I snapped up some of the ones I thought may have some nice value. He wanted 2 bucks a piece. So 20 bucks for these pieces.

Let me know because he has a BUNCH more of the coin type tokens. 2 of the El Casino chips but I only bought one.

The four queens chip seems to be 2 chips fused together. I bought one but there is another still at the store along with some duplicates of the coins. Even a Jeton is in there but has no casino name on it.

I'd love to have the B.J.Games $5 chip for my THC hub inlay collection. Name yer price, matey.

No problem Chris. Thanks anyways :)
Cool items you catched.

anyone here read chinese?? Cant see what the bidding is at but they are going for a good price for 4 of them. I only have the one although there is still one at the shop for $2 if I want to go get it :)

It's a BIN $134.99 USD for a four-chip sample on the small greek key mold from El Casino Resort in Freeport Bahamas (later The Princess).

No idea if they are worth that much, but for $2, I'd pick up as many as they have if I were you. :)

Any response on the potential $5 hub chip sale?

PM sent.

Also, Dave... any idea about all those coin tokens? would they all be at least 2-5 bucks each in that range? are they somewhat rare or a dime a dozen type deal?

I've never gotten involved in figuring out the value of casino tokens, but apparently some can be valuable (I have no idea which ones, or why). I have a bunch of 'em from various places, almost all of which have been accumulated from purchases of large eBay lots that contained both chips (that I wanted) and tokens (which I didn't). One of these days I plan to just list 'em all on eBay with a low starting bid and see where it goes.

Nice! I'd kill for a couple of racks of the Holiday $1s; always liked that color combo and bright inlay.

Hang onto that Little Caesars quarter, the LCV chips from there are typically worth big bucks to serious collectors. The Westerner chip H-mold (probably Burt Co) might be worth something, too.

Ya the h mold chip is worth about 70 according to spinnetis . See my link above
Should I attempt to clean them up? Or do collectors like them dirty as original?

I wish they had a bunch more there :(

They do still have lots of those metal token coins left but I picked out all the iconic casinos like dunes, Sahara etc.

If anyone wants to make an offer on anything you see, pm away

I'm no expert but I believe that is actually a reprint of a 1966 token by the Franklin Mint. They did the same thing for my proof Riverside tokens. Typical misleading eBay sale.

This is a closer description though I fully doubt these were made in 66-69, more likely they are recent reprints of tokens FROM those years. There just seem to be too many of them all over eBay for all kinds of casinos for them to be originals.

You are bidding on a genuine RIVERSIDE hotel/casino $1 (one dollar) Bonded Silverclad/Klad gaming/slot token (1966 Franklin Mint "Full Proof" version, obsolete token) from Laughlin, Nevada. "Proof-like" tokens are limited edition versions made by the Franklin Mint for collectors. Proof-like tokens are identical in design to the regular strike version, except they have a highly polished/reflective finish, uncirculated, and are excellent for collecting. Full Proof tokens were originally made for casino presentation, they are even more limited and have even higher detail/embossing with a more frosted finish on the edges (likely struck with a different die). Around 2000-2500 proof-like sets and 500 full proof sets were produced each year from 1965-1969.

From another site:

What Are Franklin Mint Coins Worth?

For collectors of novelty items, the Franklin Mint has many exciting gifts to offer, but it is important to note that gold-plated 50 state quarters, painted silver dollars, and the like are not produced by the U.S. Mint.

Instead, these are offers for U.S. coins which have been altered by private individuals or private companies.

While they make great gifts for those who like such items, these are not offers for rare coins. Neat, yes. Beautiful? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But these coins are not rare, and they generally do not carry much in the way of collector value for those who collect U.S. coins in original condition.

Also seems obvious so maybe you already tried Puggy but air-tites.com should have what you want.

In general the metal tokens are pretty worthless. Stick to the clay chips as much as possible.
