So my short time on this site has ruined me and I check Craigslist and Facebook marketplace every night.

I saw these and look like they may be something, but don’t know too much about chips yet. I can’t tell if they are just slugged chips or possibly clay. Any help would be appreciated.

Those look like tri-club or Ewing mold clay chips to me.

Yeah, tough to tell from one picture without closeups, but the edgespots definitely look like the chips are compressed clay. So I'd say yes, these are something.

Haha damn. Messaged this dude a few hours ago hoping to beat you Americans at your own game and get them shipped.

Yeah I was trying to meet him tomorrow and he just messaged me the someone is grabbing them tonight

Blah, I'm sorry that happened. As you hang around longer, you'll see we have a tendency to shoot ourselves in the foot posting deals publicly on PCF. Even if you don't provide the link, folks use your location and find the deal, perhaps negotiating a deal with better terms for the seller.

Best advice I can give is if you find a deal that you are interested in, keep it to yourself until you have the chips in hand. If you aren't sure if the chips have value, shoot me a PM and I'll provide my opinion (with the promise that I wouldn't snake your deal).

Live and learn.

Not something I really needed. It just appears I've been bitten by the bug since deciding to upgrade my chips and stumbling across this site

:x

Never, ever, post a deal you are wanting/working on until you have the chips in hand. Sadly someone will always snipe you if you do.

Right. And though I haven't had any luck with these sort of ads yet, if you end up getting a seller to respond to you, I think the only appropriate thing to say to him is "I can swing by and pick these up right now." Because if it's really a killer deal, he's going to be inundated with responses before tomorrow, or whenever you thought was a convenient time to be picking up chips.
Better luck on the next one.
