I just bought a setup on eBay and my initial impression is that they're great, but I don't have any other copags to compare them to. The ones I got are idenical to these ones:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Who...32381087447.html?spm=2114.40010208.4.2.DJPfvF

But there are some subtle differences between these and the deck the guy reviews here:

Different ace of spades, slightly different box, cut card included in my box; hand guide card included in his, mine have white box in the middle of the number cards with a blue outline; his have a yellow box with a black outline.

Anyway, just checking to see if anybody knows the scoop, because like I said, my initial impressions are great. I'm going to bring the to a game friday night and see how they hold up, because I might buy more from aliexpress if they're as good as they seem to be.

Personally I would deal with Alibaba. There is seemingly a long list of replica junk for sale on there including chips marketed as casino clay chips with photos and descriptions of Paulson home and casino chips. If it smells fishy it probably is.

I agree with you 100%. Except I like the feel of these cards, so if they prove to be durable I guess I don't care if they're replica junk.

these same cards can be found in huge quantities on eBay, theyre legit

If they feel good to you and you dont care what make they REALLY are, then score! I'm sure being plastic that they will hold up for a while. That doesnt say anything of the inks that may fade or chip away quicker than a true Copag. When I look at the eBay listings for verification I would still generally cringe when I see the vendors are ALL located in the Phillipines, Thailand and Hong Kong.
But as I said, at that price they will more than do their job for a couple games. I just dont believe for a second that they are genuine

I *think* original Copag cards are/were manufactured in Brazil. I also *think* these Pokerstars Copags and now another back design are manufactured in China. I have a deck a buddy bought in Vegas of "Chopper" Copag cards and they are manufactured in China. They are nice enough cards but feel more plasticky to me. Here is a link to some pretty cool looking and cheap copags that are not Pokerstars.

These look cool to me but i have so many cards already I have not pulled the trigger, so good luck

Funny thing. When these were delivered today, my first thought was "why the heck did I order poker size cards." And then after shuffling them a bit, and being impressed with the feel for the price and then investigating them further online, I totally forgot they're poker size. Bottom line, I don't HATE poker size cards, but every time I reach for a deck, I grab bridge sized cards, so I try not to buy poker size.

Well I forgot about those copags for a while, but I dealt them in last night. I figured 6-7 hours of poker would tells me a little something about their durability. Unfortunately, after maybe 15-20 hands, my buddy dropped them under the table while shuffling them. He came up with them, reshuffled, and dealt. Then we noticed that half of them had blood on them. I'm not sure if he cut his hand on a card or while under the table or what. But I just tossed them - seemed a lot better than stopping the game to clean bloody cards.
Funny stuff.
Anyway, what I noticed from playing with them for an hour or so was that they felt thick and clumsy. Not sure if that's representative of all copags or just these eBay cheapies. But after that initial impression, I don't plan on buying any more.

I just received on behalf of a friend an order of 4 pokerstars copag plastic playing cards from, Temu! Have not opened them yest since they are my friend's
If the Copag pokerastars are indeed manufactured in China that explains the low price...

There is a huge misunderstangin about products from China

Chinese nowadays have the ability to produce two categories of products :
A) low quality cheap products in order to flood the planet and gain substansial market share
B) Hige end quality products reasonably priced

Dont forget that for example iphones are made in China....

In China there is a highly skilled light/heavy industry work force + the government give incentives ( quick permits to build factories etc) for Chinese to produce and export....

The days that you could only find low quality products manufactured in China are long gone....

My favorite set of playing cards are from China ( photo of red cards) and they cost 6 euros ( app 5.7 usd with todays exchange rate)
They are amazing....
They shuffle well, they slide well etc <>They do require some braking in though....

I recently bought a set of Modianos platinum acetate, i paid 20 euros for the set and when we compared them with the chinese brand we left them aside and never played with them again

Unfortunately Western Companies are used to manipulate customers and sell their products more expensive than they should....
Same in Greece and i suppose same every where else in the Western hemisphere...
So instead of rejecting Chinese products just because they are Chinese my advise is to try them out , then reject them or embrace them....
