Time for the first of the Aria's (Aria casino tribute) Group Buys - CUT CARDS!
Most of you are familiar with the Aria's Tournament chips that were created in the first of the Cards mold GBs run by @SeanGecko in 2020. And I have been promising for months now to begin a new Aria's only Cards mold GB. Well hang tight, it's almost time to order those. The artwork is having the final touches put on by @Johnny5 and a post for them will be coming soon. But today it's time for Cut Cards. @Eloe2000 is running his Cut Card GB #11, and the deadline to order is July 19th. Yeah, that soon. So I need to very quickly get an idea how many of these cards to order. And if you are not comfortable ordering the cards before the chips, I suspect that Evan will probably run Cut Card GB #12 before we ever get our chips made and sent to us by Tina in China. So you will probably get another chance.
First, the chips! These are the tournament chips that have been around for a while, with a couple of additions. John has added to his initial brilliance with a T25 chip at the bottom of the lineup, and a T100K chip at the top.
We will also be offering up a cash set as well. As soon as the final changes are made to the design, I will post them up in a separate chip GB thread.
So now, for the cut cards. Unfortunately, we are also still putting the final touches on them as well, but due to the impending deadline I'm going to post a couple of drafts, and describe some changes and another designs. There will be four designs in total, and all four will be available in both bridge size and poker size.
Each design will have a tie in to the chips. The first card is patterned after the grey and white tones of the chip inlays. the draft artwork only shows the landscape side, but the other side of every card will be the same design in portrait format.
In addition, we will offer 3 additional designs inspired by the colors of three of the chips. First up are the yellow and red designs. These are patterned after two of the cash chips that are still in final development. In addition, while the base colors will be yellow and red, the color of the "A" and the "Aria's" text is going to change in the final version. And, in addition to the yellow and red cards, there will also be a lavender card based on the T500 chip shown above.
I will get this artwork updated as soon as I receive it from John. What I need in the next couple of days from anyone planning to participate is an idea how many cards to order. Here is a link to Evan's post for the GB we will be participating in.

All cards will be shipped to me, and I will distribute them to you. The cost of each card is 98 cents, plus there is an art fee paid to the printer, and I will also assess a small amount per card to pay John for his graphic design work. I am going to initially take a payment of $1.20 for each card, and then we will settle up after I receive the cards for any minor differences plus the cost of shipping to you. Keep in mind that there will be Cards mold chips and Dealer Buttons coming in later group buys. I will be happy to hold on to everything and send out one single shipment if you like, or I can ship each item as they come it. Keep in mind that the Cards mold chips themselves are almost certainly going to be the last thing to arrive.
For right now, all I want is your best estimate of what you will be ordering. And feel free to wait until the final artwork is posted. I mostly wanted to just get this online so everyone can be thinking about it and getting ready to jump once I do post the final designs. When you are ready to post, please post in this format:
Poker Size:
Grey x # of cards
Yellow x # of cards
Red x # of cards
Lavender x # of cards
Bridge Size:
Grey x # of cards
Yellow x # of cards
Red x # of cards
Lavender x # of cards
Total # of cards = _____
Later in the week we will PM each other to finalize the order and collect the initial payment by PayPal.
Hopefully I haven't forgotten anything (but I probably have ) so ask away and I will answer any questions that I can.
