OK, ridiculous question here, but it's becoming evident that attempting to solve this problem may be in my near future. Has anyone ever tried to artificially wear mint or near mint Paulsons so that they match up with casino used chips before?

I'm working on my Yosemite Inn set, and I'm committed to making it look as consistent as possible. I refuse to pair new chips with used, but my only viable options for the $1 chip thus far are all in near mint or better condition.

I thought about using a tumbler, but as sometime pointed out, that might also reduce the diameter. Anyone tried doing this before or have any ideas about how they might try to do it?

Don't worry, I won't be doing it to any cool/Holy chips.

This was also, in fact, also my first question to the community, when I joined CT back in 2006. Oh, little did I know...

Maybe you should make sure you're actually going to use the set much before doing such unspeakable things to nice poker chips?

Could be, but as long as it's not my hat, who cares?

Hmmmm
