Hi PCF,

Merry Xmas to all of you from Singapore! :)

I used to own a set of WTHC chip set and recently i was browsing through this forum and chanced upon this Atlantic Club CPC chip and i thought it was from the same manufacturer for a second! There is an uncanny resemblance from the colour coding to the inlay itself. As i come from a country where there is little to no demand for high end real clay poker chips, i have never felt or touched a CPC chip before and do not know how they feel like. I have only felt the Paulsons (WTHC and Pharaoh)

Can anyone tell me on a scale of 1-10 how similar does it feel like to the Paulsons? What are the main differences between these 2 chips?

I am really considering to get either the Atlantic Club chips or the Rounders one.

CPC's can be on the lighter side. They sound a little different and the colors aren't quite as nice as Paulson chips. That being said CPC's are still excellent chips and their customization options are fantastic. The quality and durability is excellent as well. If I had to rate them I would put them between a 6 and 7 in likeness to Paulsons. They are clay chips like Paulsons and the only home market vendor for this type of product.

I love CPC chips and they offer a variety of molds, all with a different feel. I strongly advice you to get both a color and mold sample set before going any further. Once you've done that and played around with them a bit, you should take a moment to think about having a custom set made instead of the off the shelf stuff (I think the prices are pretty much the same). Or you may decide you'd rather have Paulsons, in which case getting samples saved you a bunch of money.

Yep. Having shuffled samples of wthc and cpc, it's a solid 7 for me. Prob the closest you'll get to a Paulson chip. Although the edges aren't as sharp/crisp and inlay can be not as clean, you cant go wrong with cpc as they far outweigh any China Clay's, ceramics, and abs chips, imo. Good luck finding your set, friend!

CPC are lighter and harder. Don't feel the same, but they have there own feel and make a top quality poker chip. I have two orders going as we speak.

Was just logging on to ask the exact same question re: CPC & Paulson's feel & quality - thanks for this thread!

I really need to get my hands on some CPC samples, I love their Atlantic club dollar chip, such a beauty.

I love the design and overall construction of the chip. You can tell they are made by people who understand what chip collectors love. That said, they do feel a little light to me and have more of a “tinny” sound when shuffled as opposed to the “click-clack” sound of paulsons.
