Impressive.

I feel I need a story as to why such a set (unused!) is sitting this side of the pond.

The majority purchased from Arcone?

Good luck with the auction.

I am wondering why payment via PayPal is not accepted? I have personally never used transferwise.com.

I'm not a fan of PayPal. The fees and exchange rates are awful.

Nice chips -- a lot of people would probably like them.

While you've been a member here for over three years, the sum total of your involvement has been six posts in a four-day period a year and a half ago. And you don't accept Paypal, which affords the buyer a great deal of protection.

It's asking an awful lot to expect anyone to shell out over $3000 US on the basis of just a few pictures.

Can anyone in the UK vouch for you? Can you provide other evidence of your identity and character?

Thanks.

I put the set together about 6 years ago with purchases from eBay and another poker chip forum. These are so nice that I just couldn't put them in play. They remained in storage while a set TH&C saved me from playing with plastic.

You make some good points. Let me consider how best to overcome potential concerns. I'm may decide to include PayPal as a payment method.

Just mark up a few % for Paypal, if you need to seal the deal. You can specify receiving payment in £.

I’ve had sets on here and eBay, and always list cheaper here as less fees, as well as the community aspect.

I have decided to add PayPal as an option with a 3.4% premium to the total cost.

I will provide additional pictures tomorrow morning. This will include a picture of all chips with a copy of Sunday's newspaper and my forum username.

+1.

With all do respect, even if one pays with PayPal, after agreeing to the new hefty PayPal fees that OP is adding to the final price, is there a way to feel comfortable about bidding?

Technically over $3K, but closer to $4K ($3,741 $USD + 3.4% PayPal Fee + shipping charges)

Other than the protection issue, a pr0n of the whole set together would really rock

And GLWS

Less than 1 hour till the auction closes!

I'll send the to the first bidder a $2.50 PNY chip!
