What is up for Auction:

100 x Hawaiian Gardens .50 fractionals peach (casino used) - Live Chips
60 x ACTA casino school $1 chips grey (casino used, cancelled)
100 x mixed Red $5 chips (mixed condition)
30 x RDC casino $25 chips green (casino used)
10 x ACTA casino school $100 black chips (casino used)

Prices have skyrocketed lately since the Paulson Chipocalypse and I know it is hard for new Chippers to get a feel for playing with real clay chips. I know if I started chipping today, it would be hard for me to get my first set. This set is a decent 300 chip starter set that would be great for a cash game and can even work as a tournament set. They are obviously not your high end mint condition Paulsons...some are rounded, flea bites, mismatched hotstamps (the Red chips) and generally what you find in casino used condition chips. So please look at the pictures carefully before you bid. And please read all rules below (I cut and pasted from previous auctions - hope nobody minds.) especially regarding bonus for new Chippers.

Auction rules are as follows:

- The bonus is that new members with less than 50 posts or can swear that they don't have a playable set of clay chips (Scout's Honor) will get an additional $25 credit added to their bid. Example - NewGuy128 has 48 posts and plays with Dice chips bids $60 whereas Rainman who has 9000 posts and just as many chips bids $70. At the end of auction, NewGuy128 would win because he has $60 bid plus $25 credit so $85 final bid. PM me if anyone has questions about this.
- To get credit just put "+25" on your bid if you qualify. And if you have more than 50 posts but dont have a playable set of clay chips then just put that on your post with "+25". Ex: "My name is Herman and I play with Dice Chips. $60 bid +25"
- All bids should be made in this thread. No bids via PM.
- The minimum bid increment is $5.
- Please do not edit your bid. If you wish to change your bid, make a new post.
- International members are welcome to bid but must assume all risk and shipping costs.
- New members or members with low bid counts are welcome to bid since this auction is geared towards getting new chippers their first set of Paulson clay chips but please remember this is a binding business transaction. You must pay if you are the winning bidder or you will be shamed and "negative feedbacked" for eternity. Not joking!!
- I reserve the right to change these rules, to cancel bids, or to cancel the auction if necessary.
- Tommy and PCF are not responsible for this auction
- Cost of shipping (and insurance if desired) will be added to the selling price
- Payment PayPal is due immediately after the auction ends. Buyer pays all Paypal fees or sends via Friends & Family

The auction closes on Tuesday, May 3 at 6:01:00 pm PDT (9:01 pm EDT) with the 5 minute auction extension rule - all bids with a posted time of 6:00pm are valid (including 6:00:59), and a bid with a posted time of 6:01 would be void. All bids made after 5:56 pm PST will extend the bidding period for an additional 5 minutes (e.g., a bid placed at 5:59 pm would extend the auction through 6:04 pm, if another bid is placed at 6:03, it extends the auction through 6:08, so on and so forth).

I am starting this Auction at the face value of the live Hawaii Garden chips - $50

Good Luck and hope these chips go to someone that can use and appreciate them.

Ah, more time "gotchas."

So this auction ends at 7:01 current Pacific time (PDT) and 10:01 current eastern time (EDT)?

I can understand the problems facing people in, say, Arizona and Indiana, but it's hard to believe so many chippers have no clue how the US time system works.

I'm just use to saying Pacific Standard Time all this time but I'm glad you caught that. I'm an old guy, OK? It's hard for us to change. :p

Great idea for an auction! I'm new here, but not new to chipping. Good luck everyone!

I'm bidding on behalf of @Waynejr83 who does not own any Paulsons. He is responsible with his money and saving for his wedding. Therefore, I want to get a few bids as a potential gift.

I bid $55 (very thoughtful auction!)[/QUOTE

This would be a great wedding gift for a cool buddy.

BUMP....a little more than a day to bid. I was hoping there would be more interest and I could do another auction like this in the future. But at the current bid of .18/chip, that's less than used Chipco ceramics or new Dice Chip. :(

The "new" thing might be raffles. Maybe try that next time? :whistling:

I raise my bid to $75, so now we are at used Milano prices. [emoji14]

If bidding here is anything like bidding on eBay, the major action won't come until the last few minutes (or seconds on eBay).

Hey all, my name is Mario and i´m a chipaholic.
I´m new here, but not there (the other side) and i´d like to get the credit. :sneaky:

$95 bid +25, cause i like these fracs. :)

The bonus is that new members with less than 50 posts or can swear that they don't have a playable set of clay chips

Don't you have a playable set of MGMs? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Yes i do, i shared some pics from my set. But i´ve read or ... they don´t have a playable set.
If you´re right, the rule has to be less than 50 Posts and can swear that they don´t have a playable set ...

Than the next bid has to be min. $100 ($95 + $5).

Fair enough. Different ways to look at it I guess. :)
