You might remember me by my Weekly Chip Pr0n threads back from 2009 on Chiptalk - the ones with the extreme closeups.
I am letting some of my sets go. Since it was suggested by several users that I should auction them off to give everyone a chance at the chips, I will do just that, and start with my Samurai Palace BCC clay chips.

Up for auction: set of 561 Samurai Palace BCC clay chips

Breakdown:
5 200 chips
25 160 chips
100 120 chips
500 81 chips

The chips still are in the same condition seen in the pictures, since they have only seen the felt perhaps at two occasions. In addition to that, I always forbid my players to shuffle the chips.
There are two different types of 25s, and of 500s, in the set. I have added pictures comparing them. The color variations in the 25s are barely noticable at all. It is a bit more pronounced in the 500s, but not by much.

Auction ends on February 28th, 20.00h CET (Central European Time)

Starting bid is USD 450.00

Shipping is extra, of course, and depends on where you live. I myself live in Berlin, Germany.
Shipping to most overseas destinations, including the US and Canada, is USD 75.00 including tracking and insurance. There is no guarantee how long shipping takes; it can mean to or three weeks, or even longer.
If you want premium shipping, which takes only 10-14 days, shipping is USD 108.00.
It's up to you which shipping option you prefer.
Shipping to an EU destination is USD 37.00.

If you cannot send the money in EUR, then a paypal currency conversion fee of 2.5% of the total comes on top, even if you send with F&F.

I have a lot of experience with overseas shipping, and chip packaging. In my heydays I owned 46 different sets of poker chips, nearly all of which I bought from overseas. About 20 of them have been sold over the years, also mostly overseas. I have never lost any shipment, and I have a very good idea of what professional chip packaging looks like. I promise the chips will arrive safe and sound!

RULES (I hope it's okay to copy the rules I've seen in other auctions, especially Eugene's)

1. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids via PM/Conversation.
2. Bids must be placed in minimum increments of $5.
3. Auction will use the '5 minutes after last closing bid rule'. Highest bid at 20.00h CET February 28th will win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of closing time - then the closing time will be 5 min. after the latest bid was posted.
4. Edited posts will be voided.
5. Shipping: see above.
6. I reserve the right to: i) cancel the auction at any time; ii) void any or all bids; iii) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed
7. Tommy and PCF are in no way responsible for any actions in this auction.
8. Winning bidder to pay by Paypal Friends & Family.

Great set. I've got a pretty similar breakdown which never gets used because we never play tourneys. GLWS!

Honestly, the super close up. Like electron micro scope one. A touch creepy. I was waiting for a next one with a super blown up bed bug.

Before that last one. Super cool.

Chips. Still awesome.

Looking forward to seeing what else you release back into the wild, I know you used to have a lot of beautiful sets. Too bad I've stuck so much money into HS chips, I got a feeling there's bound to be a set or two I'll be very tempted to bid on.

Thanks, everyone, you make me feel regret giving up chip collecting! I have seen some fantastic sets when looking around PFC; don't tempt me to get into collecting again. ;)

Anyway, highest bid at the moment is 460.00 (XBobdog)

I have been asked if there are color variations found in the chips. That is a valid question, as BCC chips from different batches tend to be slightly off. I hadn't noticed before with this set, but there are two different types of 25s, and of 500s, in the set. I have added pictures to the OP. The color variations in the 25s are barely noticable at all. It is a bit more pronounced in the 500s, but not by much. As I said, I hadn't even noticed it before.

Welcome back! :)

For shipping from Germany to the US I'd simply use DHL, which is much cheaper than 108 USD. A 5kg parcel will cost you only 38 EUR (including tracking and 500 EUR insurance). A 10kg parcel will cost you 55 EUR. A higher insurance will cost you 14 EUR per 1.000 EUR insurance.

People should have no problem sending Euros via PayPal.

A DHL parcel at 10 kg, with insurance for more than 500 EUR, as a premium shipment costs 101.99 EUR, which is USD 108.17 at the moment.

I have added less expensive shipping to the OP, but a shipment I sent to the US without premium shipping took two months to get there... I wouldn't recommend that, since the buyer might get tired of waiting that long until the parcel arrives ;-)

Dr. John, I think there may be a mistake in your edit - OP now says both shipping options have the same price.

475 is my bid
there are slight variations in batches, i bought @detroitdad collection, couldnt be happier, need more 5's, my game got larger than i expected.
