I am selling my set of Surfside Casino Texas ChipCos. These are considered by many as the most beautiful ChipCo casino chips, and I am not parting easily with these chips.

Up for auction: 960 ChipCo Surfside Casino Texas chips

Breakdown:
$ 1 300
$ 5 200
$ 25 200
$100 160
$ 500 100

You might know my set back from my weekly chip pr0n threads on CT in 2009. The set has grown considerably since then. Therefore, you find both pictures of the set in its current state as well as the pictures I took in 2009 below.

Auction ends on Sunday, May 21st, 14.00 Eastern Daylight Time

= 11:00 Pacific Daylight Time
= 12:00 Mountain Daylight Time
= 13:00 Central Daylight Time
= 19:00 British Summer Time
= 20:00 Central European Summer Time

Starting bid is USD 900.00

All bids are binding.

Shipping is extra, of course, and depends on where you live, and the service you want. I myself live in Berlin, Germany. Since the parcel will weigh more than 10 kg, the prices are as follows:
- standard shipping to US, Canada and most overseas destinations (takes 3 weeks or more): EUR 75.99
- if you want premium shipping (10-14 days, air mail guaranteed): + EUR 66.00
- if you want insurance: + EUR 14.00 for value of EUR 1,000.00 max, + EUR 28.00 for value of EUR 2,000.00 max
Shipping to EU destinations is EUR 31.99 premium shipping, insurance is extra at the same rates as above.
If you live somewhere else, please PM me for exact shipping costs.

Payment: by money transfer, or PayPal
a) PayPal Friends&Family comes with a fee on my end, since I live in Germany, and you probably don't. For most overseas residents, it is 5%.
If you cannot send the money in EUR, then a paypal currency conversion fee of 2.5% of the total comes on top.
These fees are on the buyer, if you are paying with PayPal.
b) Money transfer (wiring the money from your bank account to my bank account) is without any fees on my end, but will cost something on your end. From experience I can say this is in many cases cheaper than paypal!
buyers from the EU: There are no payment fees! PayPal F&F is free, as well as a wire transfer.

I have a lot of experience with overseas shipping, and chip packaging. In my heyday I owned 46 different sets of poker chips, nearly all of which I bought from overseas. About 20 of them have been sold over the years, also mostly overseas. I have never lost any shipment, and I have a very good idea of what professional chip packaging looks like. I promise the chips will arrive safe and sound!

Does the auction end at 2000 CET, or at 2000 CEST (1400 EST / 1500 EDT, or at 1400 EDT)?

Central Europe was six hours ahead of the eastern US as of last week...

OK, so the auction ends at 1500 EDT (1200 PDT), which is the time we're actually on in almost all of the US -- just in case anyone wasn't sure.

And 2100 CEST, which is the actual current time in use in Spain/France/Germany. Unless Berlin is still as isolated as it used to be when I owned the trains that ran between Frankfurt and Berlin...

Better double check this with Dr. John.. I understand his post to mean that the auction will end on May 21st at 8pm Berlin time, 2pm New York time.

But that's not what he said.

In May or June, 8pm Berlin time is 2000 CEST (or 1900 CET); and 2pm NY time is 1400 EDT, (or 1300 EST). We're on daylight time, not standard time. So is ventral Europe.
If you tune in at his stated 1400 EST, that's 3pm current NY time..

I don't know what the confusion is about - there wasn't any trouble with the time the auction ends with the last auctions I held here.

The auction ends on Sunday, May 21st, at the following time:
11:00 Pacific Daylight Time
12:00 Mountain Daylight Time
13:00 Central Daylight Time
14:00 Eastern Daylight Time
19:00 British Summer Time
20:00 Central European Summer Time

I already have a rack of $25s which will make the set:

$1 (300)
$5 (200)
$25 (300)
$100 (160)
$500 (100)

It's pretty obvious what's needed to round this out!

Anyone have a rack, or two, of $5s that they could part with?
