These chips are used. They are heavy brass chips. They are fun to use but I have too many sets. They could be cool bounty buttons or card protectors.
Breakdown:
100 $1, 99 $5, 50 $10, 100 $25, 100 $100, 50 $500

I saw someone selling these around Baltimore in a craigslist ad. Anyone know the history at all? Where they come from?

The are named after the casino in the movie "Casino" and they were/are sold by Spinettis (and somewhere else I can't remember.) The $500s have been sold out for a long time so those are worth a little more. I used to have a set of these that I sold on craigslist to a guy in the DC area. Maybe those were my old chips:)

And Lars isn't kidding when he says they are heavy. 16g I believe.

I've never handled these but I've always enjoyed the looks of them. Good luck with the sale

They are definitely unique -- I used the orange $500 as a tournament card capper for a long time. Very heavy at 16g, but the mold design creates very little chip-to-chip contact area, making them pretty unpredictable in stacks.

They were first marketed on eBay by a Chinese importer in New York named "Best Bet Limited", bearing the text "WSOP 2005" and "BINYONS"(sic). They were sold as 500-chip sets in a nice black textured case bearing a "Best Bet Limited" plate "for $99. I bought two -- they were my first baby step after dice chips.

When Binions and the WSOP threatened legal action, they re-designed the chips as these Tangiers tributes.

I bought two batches of the Tangiers chips as well. Five years ago, when we moved to Florida, I couldn't find anyone among my home game crew who wanted them, so I threw the Tangiers chips away.

I did keep the "BINYONS" chips and their cases, however, for their sentimental value. And also for their weapons potential -- lethal when hurled across a poker table.

They are fun chips. I have enjoyed them I just need to get rid of some sets.
