Update: This auction is now a lottery. I've left the original details below for all to see. See post #7 for lottery participant list (but be patient with me if I'm slow to update...I'll be at work on Monday!). If you want in, declare by 7:00 PM Pacific time on Monday, February 12, 2018
**********************************************************************************************
I recently bought a large cash set of Aurora Star chips, and ended up with more AS $1s than I need.
I'm auctioning off 200 x $1 chips
Final price does not include shipping -- buyer to pay shipping and any fees.
PLEASE READ the details below carefully. This is different than a typical auction.
Here is the twist.
The starting price is $225 per rack ($450 total).
If the auction price gets to $300 per rack ($600 total), the bidding ends, and it becomes a lottery.
At that point, I'll update the sale title, and the original post, and everyone who is willing to buy the chips for $300/rack (must buy both racks), must indicate interest in the thread (no PMs). At the time the auction closes, everyone who has agreed to participate will be entered into a lottery to determine who will be buying the chips. The buyer will pay no more than $300/rack (plus shipping and fees) for the chips. If we get to the lottery portion of this listing, then I'll post details for which lottery we'll use.
Oh, one other thing...to be eligible to participate in this auction, there is no minimum on the number of posts...but those who have had a previous opportunity to buy these chips are not eligible. You're on the honor system here, but I reserve the right to veto participation from those of you who should have used the honor system
RULES
1. Starting Bid: $450.00
2. Bids must be placed in minimum increments of: $10
3. The starting bid of the auction will be treated as the reserve price.
4. All bids are to be placed openly in this thread. No bids can be made via PM or conversation.
5. The auction will use the “5 minutes after the last closing bid rule”. The highest bid at 7:00 PM Pacific time on Monday, February 12, 2018, will win unless there is a bid within 5 minutes of (and prior to) closing time; then the closing time will be extended another 5 minutes after the latest bid was posted. If the $600 bid threshold is reached during the last hour of the auction, then the auction will be extended for 24 hours to give everyone a chance to toss their hat in the ring. Otherwise, if the $600 threshold is reached before the last hour of the auction, only those who have indicated "in" by 7:00 PM on Monday Feb 12 will be eligible for the lottery.
6. Edited posts will be voided.
7. I reserve the right to a) cancel the auction if no bids have been made, b) edit the listing to correct errors or clarify rules as needed.
8. Shipping terms: I will ship using a UPS Medium Flat Rate Box. The final auction price does not include shipping as the buyer will be responsible for all shipping fees. I recommend the buyer pay for signature confirmation and restricted delivery. But if this is refused, all risk for mailing mishaps belong to the buyer.
9. Payment terms: Funds shall be sent via PayPal Friends and Family, or if you prefer to run it as a purchase of goods, the buyer will pay all associated PayPal fees. The seller is to receive the final auction price from the buyer after all fees have been deducted.
10. Good luck bidding.
Hopefully I haven't overlooked anything...but it's possible.
Thanks.
